What’s Inside

When Lynne Davis first moved to Massachusetts,

one of the items on her check list was to join a credit union. She’s now been an RTN member for ten years, and is happy to recommend the Credit Union to others, including her teenage son Sebastian, who recently joined RTN. “My experience with credit unions has always been positive, so I was glad I could connect with RTN when I relocated here,” says Lynne. “As a long-time member,

I really feel RTN is interested in helping me achieve my financial goals. I reach real people when I call, and everyone is always helpful. The mobile app is great, and I also appreciate the travel alert feature that helps protect my account. In fact, recently RTN noticed unusual activity on my account and shut it down...saving me from a huge headache, as I had not noticed the fraudulent activity. I could go on and on, in the most positive of ways, especially about the Brookline branch, which has truly been there for me.”

After a long winter, spring is the perfect time for a home improvement project.

RTN’s home equity loans and lines of credit can provide the financing you need to help you spruce up your home. We offer great rates at a variety of terms designed to fit your budget. You can apply for a fixed-rate home equity loan, in which you receive the money all at once, or a variable-rate home equity line of credit (known as a HELOC) with cash available to you as needed. Home equity loans and HELOCs are great for other purposes as

well, including paying off loans, financing a college education or for a down payment on your second home. Lynne believes what sets RTN apart is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, a helpful and knowledgeable staff, services like free home buyers seminars and great rates. “When RTN helps you buy a vehicle, you know you are getting a good deal,” she says. Her son Sebastian expressed an interest in establishing a financial foundation, so Lynne suggested he join RTN and open a Class Act checking account (available for members ages 24 and under). “I think this step is one of those major milestones

in life for a young man. I believe my Credit Union is best suited to help him take that step and many more. I know the staff will be there to guide Sebastian through the many financial-related firsts—auto purchase, responsible credit card use, college scholarships, home loans and many other things,” she says. For more information on RTN membership or RTN Class Act Checking Accounts, contact Member Services at 781-736-9900 or [email protected], or visit rtn.org. ◆

A Bed for Every Child Walk Home funds support MCH’s A Bed for Every Child initiative. This campaign aims to provide kids with their own beds so they don’t become sleep deprived, which can have negative long-term consequences on a student’s education and future. Thanks to all who support MCH, these kids received their own beds this year:

Lindsay had to sleep on her old crib mattress on the floor because she did not have a bed. Her kindergarten teacher reached out to MCH and now Lindsay sleeps soundly in her own bed.

Jayden is in third grade and had been coming to school lethargic due to restless nights trying to sleep on a couch. Through his teacher’s request, he received his own bed from MCH and is back to his energetic self.

Fifth-grader Abigail’s family was forced to move to a small apartment as a result of a job loss, and she had to share a bed with her mom. Abigail’s art teacher contacted MCH, and to Abigail’s delight, she now has a bed of her own.

$180,000 makes it

possible for 800 children growing up in poverty to have a bed of

their own.
