The term was introduced just a few years ago, "Web 2.0" has become something of a cliché, it has no real definition. It does emphasize a few technologies that we will use in our computer applications class

Internet users expect greater interactivity, with people adding to or modifying Web content through blogs, wikis, and other community features-mmsany you have experienced on you tubeor other webcasting mediums.

Sites today have richer communication, Which means streaming audio and visual is part of the standard viewing

Sites are optimized for search engines.
