• A reasonable load time is about 5-10 seconds

Unless a music, movie, or media company, there is no excuse for using music files on the site

• The background should not interrupt the text

• Link colors should coordinate with page colors

• All text and colors used should coordinate with each other

• Don’t include animations that have nothing to do with the site

• Multiple animations that never stop is unnecessary

• Check appearance of site using different browsers on different systems
