• Schools are using Internet technologies to a very limited extend• Web browsing and emailing became a common practice• More and more schools do have Extranets • Extranets are enabling students, after log-in, to see:
– school agenda, – access important files/information – or even order books, learning tools & accessories
• There is a need for more possibilities

Future• Teachers and students establish rich 1-1, 1-many & many-many
communication any time from any location• Discuss online topics of common interest with teachers and with
other students• Record and post on the net video-lectures with associated white-
board and presentational content• Teachers and students participate in online workshops, using
voice, video as well as sharing desktop, presentations and files• External experts and guests give additional online lectures in
which students would remotely participate• Students from one school optionally chose an online course in
another school• Remotely consult students or talk to parents without necessity to
schedule meetings during the working hours• Access online all relevant schooling documents, e-books, tools,
tests and other methods of training and evaluation
