THE PRAYER OF THE DAYP: Lord God, our strength, the struggle between good and evil rages within and around us, and the devil and all the forces that defy you tempt us with empty promises. Keep us steadfast in your word, and when we fall, raise us again and restore us through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. C: AMEN. THE ASSEMBLY SITS

THE FIRST READING GENESIS 9:8-17

PSALMODY PSALM 25:1-9 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; my God, I put my trust in you;

let me not be humiliated, nor let my enemies triumph over me. Let none who look to you be put to shame;

let the treacherous be disappointed in their schemes. Show me your ways, O LORD,

and teach me your paths.

5

Page 6: elcwarren.org · Web view17 minutes ago  · Almighty God, our Maker and Redeemer, we sinners confess to you, that we have sinned against you by thought, word, and deed. Wherefore

Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; in you have I trusted all the day long. Remember, O LORD, your compassion and love,

for they are from everlasting. Remember not the sins of my youth and my transgressions;

remember me according to your love and for the sake of your goodness, O LORD.

Gracious and upright is the LORD; therefore he teaches sinners in his way.

He guides the humble in doing right and teaches his way to the lowly.

All the paths of the LORD are love and faithfulness to those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.

A NOTE ABOUT OFFERING ENVELOPESDuring this time, many of you are sending your offerings by mail. Please note that mail delivery has become erratic. If you mail offerings by mail,

please use the correct dated envelope. If it is received after that date, your checks will not

show up as deposited until a later date. On your giving record, the date of the envelope will be

noted. Please, NEVER send checks without offering envelopes, or if you do, mark your

envelope number on the memo line. Otherwise, it could be entered as loose

offering, and you won’t receive the proper credit. The counters thank you!
