UMass/VA National Center on Homelessness Among Veterans 2008-PresentMISSION Training Curriculum, Curriculum Development Bedford MA Created a training curriculum to implement the MISSION Treatment Approach Curriculum includes an overview of the model and four training modules for each therapeutic component. Wrote 8 MISSION training manuals, two of which were recently translated into Spanish and I was involved in all of the needed cultural adaptations. Developed accompanying training videos to reinforce knowledge acquisition. This training is all inter-professional and cuts across multiple disciplines, including, psychiatry, psychology, nursing, counseling, and primary care.

on over 60 grants over the past 20 years. This includes currently being Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on two VA funded Centers of Excellence, ten federal grants as well as Co-Investigator on two other grants, including a Massachusetts Center of Excellence on Specialty Courts. My sources of funding include NIH-NIAAA, NIH-NIDA, NIH-NCCAM and the Department of Veterans Affairs Extramural Research Program, the latter of which is a federal funding mechanism managed within Grants.gov. My VA funding mechanisms includes two Centers of Excellence, the National Center for Homelessness Among Veterans, which I established in 2008, a new Implementation Science QUERI Center, called BRIDGE QUERI, established August, 2015. I also have several VA-funded ROI equivalents called VA Investigator Initiated Research Merit Grants (IIR’s) and VA Service Directed Projects (SDP) along with R21 equivalents called Rapid Reponses Grants (RRP). Furthermore, since moving to UMASS Medical School, my research funding has gone from approximately 700K annually to approximately 5 million annually.Current

(PI) 2017-2022Title: Maintaining Independence and Sobriety through Systems Integration, Outreach and Networking- (MISSION: HOPE)The purpose of this project is to enhance and expand upon the Franklin County Family Drug Court's existing efforts to ameliorate the negative impact of opioid, other substance use, and CODs for parents, children, and other caregivers via the provision of the MISSION-Criminal Justice model. MISSION-Hope seeks to promote family stability and unification, as well as access to mental health, substance abuse, trauma, employment, and familial support services.Costs: $2,125,000.00 (direct & indirect costs)Role: Co-Investigator (1% effort)
