850am -9am Early Morning Activity.

To show a verb is happening now, we add 'ing' to the end, like 'jump' turns into 'jumping'. All you need to do is add 'ing'. However, if the word has a short vowel sound like 'hop', you need to double the last letter (the consonant), so that it says 'hopping'.

Answer the questions above and think and write about why the author wrote this story and who he wrote it for.

Recap on the last lesson and how we can find out about the Great Fire of London-through paintings – through eye witness accounts, diaries and maps.

Ask the question who was Samuel Pepys?

Discuss what we know about him and how we know.

Write down any questions that you would like to ask Samuel Pepys.

Remember a question starts with who, what, where, when, why, how ETC– remember to add a question mark at the end of your question.

What do you imagine he would say?

Draw a picture of Pepys and write questions underneath your sketch.
