Weekly Newsletter November 14, 2019 + Dear QOA Families, At this time of year when we celebrate the feast of Thanksgiving, it is only right and fitting that we should take time out from our hectic schedules, to stop and thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. We are grateful for the blessings of faith and the love Jesus has for each one of us. Some of our students from grades kindergarten through grade four tell us what Thanksgiving means to them. Next week we will enjoy the thoughts from grade five through eight students. Kindergarten: Zoe L. – Thanksgiving makes me think about making friends. John S. – Thanksgiving means eating turkey with my family and I am thankful for my family. David E. – I am thankful for jumping in the leaves with all my friends. Savy Y. – I am thankful for my brother and sister. Grade 1: Claire W. – Thanksgiving means that I’ll tell Mom and Dad what I’m thankful for. Adam T. – I am thankful for my family, nature, and Jesus. Grade 2: Ibn M. – Thanksgiving makes me think of how the Native Americans came together in peace with the Pilgrims for their Thanksgiving meal. I like to have Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Noelle K. – At Thanksgiving I feel thankful for what I have. I feel thankful for my family and my house. I also feel thankful for God because He made everything in the world special for us. Grade 3: Charlotte D. – Thanksgiving means being with your loved ones and telling them what you’re thankful for. Julia P. – Thanksgiving means giving thanks to God for this school.
