You might want to find some time lapse videos of sunflowers or acorns so children can see the process of the cycle.
Then children can have a go at drawing their own cycle. We usually explain to the children that it is called a cycle because it goes around like a wheel.
You can do this on plain paper- as long as it goes around and has arrows showing the direction.
