ADN-NEC provides adaptive sports for intellectual and physically-disabled community members, veterans, first responders and youth ages 3 and up. Our events create opportunities for interactions in social settings with other disabled members, their families and other mentors. For those newly injured it allows this person to see a better quality of life and the possibilities. It expands preconceived notions of disability and

focuses on the abilities of what a person can achieve. To learn more, visit www.adnnec.org or contact us at 267-242-4590 or [email protected].

Programs are geared to progress with participants as they work through the transitions of their life changing event and work back to be able to enjoy recreational sports or general physical activities. For cognitive participants this provides routine and healthy activities and social setting. These opportunities use mentoring

Michael Braxton (Detective, Atlantic City Police Dept.) "After my accident, I was completely lost, there were no active amputees that I could relate to

until I was introduced to Brandon Holiday. Brandon introduced me to Athletes with Disabilities Network Northeast and their programs. He spoke of an upcoming fundraising event, at the Phillies game to raise money for sports equipment for adaptive athletes. I would get to meet other amputees, see their legs and also what kayaking as an amputee is all about, as well as the kayaks themselves that were fit for people of several different disabilities, it was amazing. His heart, soul, and determination to "pay it

forward" to others with disabilities are just what we need on the North Eastern US."
