Chosen Building Development:As the site of our building development is located in Durbanville, opposite a proposed mall development, we deemed a restaurant development to be ideally suited to the size of the plot and location.
Target Market:Our target market is aimed at young adults and middle-aged parents with children.
Amount of Anticipated Inhabitants:The size of the development, with consideration to the amount of parking on site, will allow for an approximate maximum client total of 80 people. As the site is situated opposite a proposed mall, the prospective of walk-in clients must also be considered. The approximate maximum staff total of the restaurant will be that of 17 employees. However, parking for employees must be taken into consideration as parking is limited and a priority for clients.
Rooms: Restaurant Coffee Bar Kitchen Bathrooms
Other areas included in the design of the development is the construction of an undercover stoep/patio, which is to be enclosed by an openable canvass material, and an outside seated area where each table will be provided an umbrella for shade.
Aesthetic Approach:The theme of the restaurant is that of a specialized coffee bar with a modern industrial/hippy aesthetic feel.
Amount of Parking:There is a total of 16 parking bays available on the site with a back driveway, leading to the kitchen and storage room, for delivery vehicles.
