Designed to bring people together and showcase UK creativity, the Festival programme will include live events, digital activity, and participation and learning opportunities aimed at reaching millions of people globally. The 10 Festival commission tea1806ms feature exciting new collaborations between creatives drawn from across science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) and from throughout the UK. Following a unique, funded R&D programme, they are now turning their extraordinary ideas into reality. Led by Chief Creative Officer, Martin Green CBE, Festival 2022 Ltd, was established in Birmingham to curate, manage and promote the Festival, working with strategic delivery bodies for each of the Four Nations to devise and deliver the programme. As well as unforgettable experiences, the Festival places creativity at the centre of our lives and shared futures. It comes as sectors have been impacted by the global pandemic and is already creating new opportunities for freelancers, emerging talent and under-represented voices, with more to come as each commission is developed. Role Overview If you are looking to develop your skills in marketing and digital and would like to work on one of the most significant creative programmes in a generation, this exciting new role could be for you. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing and Campaigns Coordinator will have a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of the festival’s marketing and campaigns. You will bring planning and administrative expertise to ensure the smooth development and implementation of integrated marketing activity, supporting the Digital Marketing Manager and Strategic Campaigns Managers, and working closely with colleagues from the wider Festival communications team, including the Social Media Manager. The role will see you getting involved in the planning and execution of campaign activity and include the creation of online and offline content. You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating campaigns, ensuring the relevant tools and metrics are in place and contributing to marcomms reporting for partners and stakeholders. You will also be involved in procurement and liaison with external agencies and suppliers. It’s also an opportunity to hone your skills of working within complex stakeholder environments, through liaison with the 10 commissioned teams now developing their major creative projects that will form next year’s UK-wide programme, and working with representatives of the Strategic Delivery Bodies for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, key partners in delivering the festival. Support the planning, execution and tracking of Festival marketing and campaign activity, including print, email, social media and content.

Act as key liaison for marketing team colleagues. Contribute to web and social media marketing, including blogs and written content. Email marketing database management and CRM. Create, proof-read, and edit copy, ensuring consistent tone of voice. Produce photography and film briefs, as required. Source images and other assets, such as film, including rights approvals. Ensure the consistent and accurate use of the festival brand. Monitoring, analysis and reporting of marketing and campaign activity. Seek out relevant insights and research to inform campaign activity. Help manage relationships with agencies and suppliers. Update Festival campaign plans, milestones and agency briefs. Help coordinate internal and external multi-stakeholder meetings. Help organise and coordinate events. Work with team to ensure electronic filing systems are managed properly. Manage and respond to general enquiries. Help ensure marketing activity is responsive to and reflects our diverse audiences. Contribute to the overall delivery and objectives of the communications team and Festival.

Educated to degree level or equivalent. Professional industry qualification.

(eg, Dotdigital, Wordfly). Excellent ICT skills, including Word / Excel. Knowledge of CRM and data collection.

Experience of integrated campaigns including print, advertising, outdoor, social media, digital, FOH and promotions.

Experience of working on cultural projects or events.

Experience of project management tools, such as Smartsheets.

Working with creative agencies Understanding of SEO (search engine

optimisation).

This position will be employed by Festival 2022 Ltd.

We will consider a secondment from an existing organisation or public body for this role.
