Booking InfoTickets can be booked in person at the Box Office at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre, 58 Goondoon St, Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.30pm, by phoning 07 4972 2822 during business hours or by using the Online Ticketing service on this website under the What’s On tab.

The GECC Online Ticketing service will provide a ‘print at home ticket’, which can be scanned at the Box Office prior to the selected performance or event.

Theatrical performances commence promptly at the advertised start time and latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance generally 5-10 minutes after the show commences.

Smoking is not allowed in any part of Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre, the GECC Marquee or other council venues, and not within 4 metres of any entrance to the building.

The use of cameras and recording devices is illegal and penalties for infringement of copyright in this way are severe.

Ticketing Terms & Conditions• Tickets must be paid for in full at time of booking• Unless advised by the promoter, every attendee over 12 months of age must

purchase a seat ticket and children under 12 months can be nursed and do not require a seat ticket.

• Ticket refunds are generally prohibited, except at the discretion of promoter.• Tickets are generally not transferrable, except at the discretion of promoter.• Please note that we sell tickets to events as an agent of the event organiser. In some

cases, an event organiser has set, as a condition of the sale of tickets to the event, the requirement that any contact information provided by you to the box office is released to their organisation at the conclusion of the event. If you do not agree to the release of this information, please advise the box office staff of this at the time of your ticket purchase. For online purchases, please ensure you un-tick the patron marketing box during the transaction.

Gift vouchers are valid for a full 12 months; they’re flexible, easy to use and convenient to exchange.

Gift vouchers can be redeemed online at www.gladecc.com.au, over the phone (call GECC on 07 4972 2822) or upon presentation at the GECC Box Office. Refer to full terms and conditions.

If you prefer, we can even send your gift certificate to you by email; to be forwarded to or printed by the lucky gift recipient. Simply select print@home as your delivery method during

the booking process. Please note gift vouchers are redeemable for tickets only, not food and beverage, merchandise or other purchases.

Conditions of use

Gift vouchers may be redeemed for any event which is sold by GECC. Vouchers can be redeemed online at www.gladecc.com.au, over the phone (call GECC on 07 4972 2822) or upon presentation at the GECC Box Office during the voucher validity period (12 months from date of purchase). You cannot redeem vouchers at any other ticketing outlet.

1. Gift vouchers are valid for redemption for 12 months from the date of purchase. The voucher may be used for events more than 12 months from date of purchase provided the booking is made within the 12 months validity period.

2. Gift vouchers are redeemable for tickets only, not for food and beverage, merchandise or other purchases.

3. If the ticket price of the chosen performance exceeds the value of the voucher, the difference is required to be paid when redeeming the voucher.

4. Any remaining balance on your voucher may be used again (using the new Voucher Reference number), observing the original validity period.

5. No refund shall be given for any unused ‘Gift Voucher’ balance. The value of the ‘Gift Voucher’ must be redeemed before the 12month Expiry date.

6. Once tickets have been issued, they are not transferable to any other performance.

7. No responsibility is assumed where:

(a) Vouchers are not used within the validity period (12 months from the voucher purchase date)

(b) Tickets are not used for the specific performance requested or

(c) The voucher is lost or stolen

8. In the event of a performance being cancelled after the voucher has been exchanged for tickets, tickets may be exchanged for another performance of your choice, subject to availability.

Confirmation of Booking

A booking is confirmed once a non-refundable deposit has been received with a signed Venue Hire Contract.

Property & Damages

The GECC cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of goods and personal belongings brought into the Centre prior to, during, or after an event. Any costs associated with property or equipment damage will be incurred by the client.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

The GECC actively promotes the responsible service of alcohol. Licensing laws prohibit guests to bring liquor onto, or remove from, the premises.

Smoking

The whole venue is a smoke-free environment.

Technical Services

Clients using the Centre’s technical equipment are required to use the services of at least one of the in-house qualified technicians.

Loading & Unloading

Loading docks are located at the rear of the GECC with access via Oaka Lane.

Parking

Four floors of parking are directly adjacent to the centre and access to the second floor Lobby is via lifts to all car park levels.

Facilities for people with disabilities

The GECC accommodates delegates and patrons with disabilities whenever possible. The main auditorium is equipped with a hearing loop and audio description services.

Additional information

The venue policy does not allow food and beverages to be brought onto the premises or removed.

All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST. Catered events require approximate numbers two weeks prior to the event and final

numbers are to be confirmed 5 working days prior to the event.

Audio Visual

The Centre’s in-house technical team is well equipped to design and implement imaginative solutions for lighting, sound and imaging. With an in-depth knowledge of the venue and its constantly developing technical infrastructure, the team is in the best position to offer complete flexibility and confidence.

From the requirements of a simple presentation to a spectacular production, the team will provide the perfect level of support and advice. The GECC maintains top of the line equipment tailored to the needs of today’s event professionals – from sound systems and video and data projection to comprehensive lighting packages.

Communications

Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre is equipped for interactive multi-media technology, wireless internet and networking with technology specialists on hand to ensure all communications needs are met. ADSL/ ISDN/STD telephone, facsimile and data lines can be accessed from any meeting room.

The Centre has a complete fibre optic backbone linking all meeting rooms. All venue spaces have available wireless connectivity, video conferencing and high speed data processing.

Exhibitions

The GECC offers conference organisers a wide choice of exhibition space. An area of 850 square metres of fully air-conditioned, column-free interiors provides flexible accommodation. Three conference rooms can be divided into multiple configurations. The GECC Marquee also provides an additional 600 square metres of air-conditioned, carpeted space.

Special Building Features

LCD display screens throughout the Centre provide a facility for daily program information, special announcements, PowerPoint presentations, promotional footage and sponsor advertising.

Electronic signage at the registration desk can be used for information or promotion opportunities or simply to welcome delegates. For exhibitions and trade functions, service pits installed in the floor of the Event Hall provide power, data and telephone lines.

Specific Needs

The GECC aims to be a venue where all feel welcome – from parents with prams to the elderly, and the disabled.

There is lift and ramp access to all areas of the Centre, automatic doors, designated drop-off points and parking bays for people with disabilities. The width of external and internal doors has been designed for easy wheelchair access. There are rest rooms designed for the physically challenged, as well as for parents with baby-change facilities.

Special Needs Services

Mobility Impaired Access

If you have special requirements, please advise our box office staff when booking tickets and they will be more than happy to assist. Ramp access to the main foyer of the GECC is available via Goondoon Street with access to the car park lobby via the elevators and ramp. Ramp access to the auditorium with the GECC is available to all doors.

Hearing Impaired Access

Please advise our box office staff of your needs when purchasing tickets so the hearing system is available for your use when you arrive to see your chosen performance.

Parking

Parking in the multi-level car park is open to the public. Entry and Exit is via Oaka Lane the street behind the GECC. Please note the old access is no longer open and access is by the sign marked ‘Parking’.

Our experienced staff and computerised systems take the stress out of ticketing your event, whether for a seated function, a sporting event, a stadium-sized concert, or anything in between.

Your listing on our website will ensure that patrons are adequately informed of options such as seating arrangements, special dietary requirements and special needs facilities. For your out-of-town guests, we can include information on preferred accommodation providers, dining options and essential services.

We even include a link to your own event web page.

We have the facilities and experience to process all bookings, whether for individuals, small groups or large delegations.

Patrons have the choice of purchasing their tickets by cash, cheque or major credit card. Have the option of booking in person or over the phone. Access our online facility to purchase tickets at any time day or night and have their tickets delivered direct to their inbox within seconds.

Your guests may also choose their own table seating where you have provided us with a seating plan of the venue.

School Entertainment Program

The School Entertainment Program 2016 contains a range of shows relevant for school groups across all primary and secondary grades. In addition many of these shows include various workshops, educational packs and teacher resources along with some unique educational opportunities.

These shows have been put together to stimulate and educate. Comprising of a range of genres such as drama, dance, children’s theatre and physical theatre. Performances are chosen not only for their entertaining appeal, but also for their ability to provide capital city experiences in a regional town such as Gladstone.

Each year the GECC advises educators throughout the region of performances which have significant educational merit or which supports aspects of the school curriculum.

Special school group pricing is on offer for $8.50 per student with teachers receiving two complimentary tickets per class.

A special Student ticket price has been developed for students wishing to attend shows outside of school hours.

About the Centre:

The Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre hosts a new state-of-the-art redevelopment of the Centre and expansion of the adjoining multi-level car park to include an additional three levels of car parking and two storeys of commercial office space.

This multi-million dollar redevelopment has established the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre as one of regional Queensland’s premier entertainment venues, attracting new entertainment, conferences and events never before seen in the region.

Expansion has seen the addition of a new multi-use convention and event floor space that has increased the venue’s capacity to 1,500 standing and allows it to host larger and higher-profile events and concerts.

New flat floor spaces complement the centre’s existing theatre, which seats 674 people, allowing the entertainment centre to host multiple events at any one time. The auditorium has also undergone a major refurbishment with upgrades to seating, lighting and acoustics.

The car park expansion has provided three new levels of car parking adding much-needed additional parking in the Gladstone CBD. Three new elevators also provide improved access to the GECC through a second entry lobby directly off the car park.

GECC’s new kitchen facilities offer the latest technology in banquet catering to deliver seven hundred meals in fifteen minutes, cooked to perfection.

Additional conference rooms have been added which can be configured to provide multiple spaces to host workshops, seminars and meetings. Each space is completed with the most up to date electronic, video and data displays, coupled with fibre optic and wireless internet connectivity.

The new Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre delivers on its designer’s attention to detail to provide the city with a venue that will perform well into the future.
