JOB TITLE: Physiotherapists/Sports Therapists
REPORTING TO: Head of Medical Services
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Pitch Side Support
CONTRACT: Casual/Sessional
HOURS OF WORK: Flexible
ROLE PURPOSE: To provide match and non match day support
Notts County Football Club Academy is looking for passionate and committed physiotherapists and sports therapists to join our growing Academy medical team for the forthcoming 2019/2020 season.
Potential candidates should be driven, self-motivated and work within the best interests of our Academy players. It is imperative that the post holder has effective communication skills and works well with a multidisciplinary team.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Provide pitch side medical cover for training sessions and at home and away fixtures across the Foundation and Youth Development phase age groups
Record and update medical records using the PMA system
Provide and implement injury rehabilitation protocols for injured players
Assist in the provision of warm ups and cool downs pre/post training and match days
Liaise with full time Academy medical staff regarding the management of injured players
Engage in Continued Professional Development (CPD) inclusive of periodical trauma and CPD evenings
Attend first team home matches and CPD sessions as part of Notts County Football Club’s medical provision
Technical Specification
Minimum BSc Physiotherapist/Sport Therapist with CSP/HCPC/SST/BASRaT accreditation
ITMMiF or ATMMiF.
Full UK driving licence and car owner
Proficient and competent of using the PMA system
Experience of working under the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
Recent and relevant experience in a sporting environment
Experience in working in a team sports
Valid Safeguarding Certificate
Personal Specification
Passionate and driven both about the role and management of our injured players
Flexible approach to work and working hours
Willing and able to deliver ‘world class’ and seamless support
