Riccardo Bagnoli was born in Florence in 1963 on April fool’s day, but this is not a joke! He was intended to follow in his father’s footsteps and join the family garage, but after receiving the first Holy Communion, he was enlightened by the thought that he would become a photographer. It took him 10 years to hold his first professional camera. Starting with fashion, Riccardo later establishes himself as an advertising photographer and becomes one of the biggest protagonists internationally credited and awarded.

Frank Uyttenhove is a talented photographer and film director. He has an extensive career, which has seen many interesting projects and many awards. The main theme in Frank’s varied work is the continuous presence of subtle emotion, and he has mastered this technique. His ability to give people direction, his photo manipulation skills and his attention to detail, are the reason he can tell a whole story in one picture. Frank has a passion for photography, no matter what the subject.

Erik Almas is equal parts photographer and artist. Based in San Francisco, California, he originally hails from Norway and credits his upbringing for influencing his romantic, surrealistic style. Almas took some time to discover his signature look, but it was worth the wait. His creative image compositions fuel the imagination and keep clients coming back for more. Almas shares his thoughts on photography, light, and creating visually appealing images

Giacomo Costa was born in Florence, Italy; he has been showing work progressively all over the world. In 2009 he represented Italy at the prestigious Venice Biennale. Giacomo Costa’s research initially began with the study of photography before moving gradually in a direction that has lost all contact with traditional photography.

Christophe Gilbert is a very talented Belgian photographer from Bruxelles, specialized in visual art. Gilbert mixes advertising and conceptual photography in a fun and exciting way. His manipulations accentuate the humorous and original aspects of art.

Matt Wisniewski, Education Kit by the infusion of natural elements, a self-taught collage artist born in 1990 in Philadelphia currently based in Brooklyn, NY, Matt admits that for most of his life, he has been experimenting with various artistic media. He is fascinated by the creative imagery on display in the web which he is also part of. Currently, he is finishing up a computer science degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology and is working as a web developer. In his free time, he speaks his dreams through poetic collages which are on display in his personal inspiration board entitled ''Five minutes to live''. Matt tried to unfold this talented process of transforming reality into a dream. Discover a selection of his collage series named ‘Future couture’, ‘My home is the sea’, ‘Mineral minds’, ‘Miles to go’, ‘Halogen forest’ and ‘Cold embrace’, amongst others.

My analysis for one of Matt Wisniewski’s pieces is a simple black and white. It’s of a guy with a photo shopped mountain in his head it kind of gives a metaphor ‘a cloudy mind’ I like how it’s simple but has a deep meaning.

My personal evaluation of all of his works is that they all look pretty much the same and around the same themes but they just all have different meanings.

My question for this artist is “what is the meaning and the aim for his art?’ and ‘why is the art not coloured?’

My analysis for this art by Matt Wisniewski’ is another simple but meaningful piece. The meaning is the girl’s home is at the sea.

My two questions related to the historical aspect of Matt Wisniewski’s works are “why did he choose to represent all his art like this?” “What inspires him to be unique with his art?”

Typically I choose a portrait to work with first. Then I try various quick combinations of textures until something catches my eye. Occasionally I have an idea of what I'm looking at doing but usually I'm just trying to make something new.-Matt Wisniewski

The first piece of art is by Erik Johansson it’s a house getting cut into two pieces it has a deep meaning to it like families getting cut into two it’s a very grey and doomy day it’s a negative piece. The second picture is by Francesco sambo it is of a man wearing a weird mask or a head that looks like a baby cross an alien. It is also holding a knife and it’s a weird and negative piece of art.

These two pieces of art are both very different but they have similar meanings about them. They both have a sharp tool for cutting something like the scissors are cutting a house and the alien person has a knife. They both have a dark style and meaning to them.

MAKING ART – develop an exercise related to your artist which the reader of you education kit could complete. It could be a technique, a style, a subject matter interpretation, an appropriation, a contemporary media work, a philosophical interpretation.

Bibliography

The most important aspects that I have discovered are digital artists are very unique and create art that has a meaning to it whether the person looking at the art can tell what the meaning of the art is or not. They’re always making something new and unique that’s never been seen before something that will catch people’s eyes. Lots of these digital artists go un noticed because they post their work on the internet and it gets ‘stolen’ and someone posts it as their own work.
