Open the object in CS6 Illustrator
Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF)
Using the following settings:
![Page 2: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/2.jpg)
Makes a Blurry image in AutoCad LT2013
![Page 3: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
And when dropping into Creo Drawing:
![Page 4: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
Gives me an image missing the actual Logo’s and Symbols I need:
![Page 5: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
Back to illustrator CS6 and going the BMP route choosing the following popups:
![Page 6: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Gets me to here in Photoshop:
![Page 7: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
and makes a bunch of jpg files, and when dragged to the Creo Drawing using Insert >> Object >> Create from File and browsing to the BMP file
Adds a rectangular OLE note with the name of the file in it,
not the actual contents of the file…
So lets try to save the CS6.ai file to an Illustrator 10 file, open with CS5:
![Page 8: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Export to a DXF file:
![Page 9: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
Gets me in AutoCAD another blurry image:
![Page 10: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
And to BMP
![Page 11: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
Gets me basically the same image from CS6 in Photoshop (a little rougher):
![Page 12: community.ptc.com · Web viewOpen the object in CS6 Illustrator Go to File >> Export and save the file as AutoCAD interchange File (*.DXF) Using the following settings: Makes a Blurry](https://reader030.vdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022040601/5e923be376e70c79a26732a8/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
And when imported into Creo, again (sigh..) has the same “OLE” box without the image.
HELP!!! Is there a setting in Creo that is making it show this way? It’s as if sometimes the images do and sometimes they don’t import kind of thing. I used to do this all the time, and I don’t know what has happened!
