P3 ‘Healthy Heart’ cont. 1. Listen to the song Healthy Heart, and see if you can remember how the words fit in. Practise singing the song with the actions. 2. Now look at the empty grid, (found below). You will see words down the left hand side that appear in the song. 3. Each word has the rhythm written beside it. (rhythms are tea and coffee). 4. Running – two sounds - coffee Jump – one sound - tea Skipping – two sounds - coffee Dance – one sound – tea 5. Practise clapping the rhythms of these words. 6. Now write one of the words, with the rhythm underneath the word in the same box. You can choose where you write your chosen word. Eg first line might say….. jump, dance, skipping, jump……. Or running, running, dance, jump……. Or skipping, dance, running, jump. You decide, remember to write a rhythm/word in every box. 7. Practise clapping / tapping your rhythm/words one box after the other across the way. Lines 1, 2, 3 & 4. Try clapping / tapping the boxes up and down. 8. If possible, can you find a different sound for each word….eg you could stamp your feet on the word jump, or clap for skipping, tap a metal object for running and something wooden for the word dance? You choose!

‘Healthy Heart’ cont.

1. Listen to the song Healthy Heart, and see if you can remember how the words fit in. Practise singing the song with the actions.

2. Now look at the empty grid, (found below). You will see words down the left hand side that appear in the song.

3. Each word has the rhythm written beside it. (rhythms are tea and coffee).
