STEP 2: Explain System Development Life cycle and its role in building real life applications.

Why this project

In this digital age where technology is in the reach of everyone; especially with the availability of economic range of smart phone it has great influence on its users. If through the usage of this technology any problem of the society can be addressed and resolved that it will be a boon for the mankind. Keeping this thought in mind, I started this project of deploying IT for developing Apps for better Society.

1) They learn the skills of deploying IT for solving real-life problems, innovation, self-regulation, collaboration, time management and skilled communication.

2) Learners become interested to take App designing as a profession in future.

3) Coding becomes easy and they gain confidence.

4) Helps to improve critical thinking, logical skills and decision making.

Actual Outcomes

Learning Outcome:

The outcome is the activity can be seen in terms of the working Apps build by the students:

Examples of the App created by students1)Pollution Controller App- An app that calculates your carbon footprint

and provides tips to the user to reduce it. Motivate him to recycle by playing value based fun games available in the app.

2) We-Can-Sir App (All about Cancer App)- This app provides information about all types of cancer, its symptoms, treatment centers, information about best doctors and shares the stories of people who fought with the disease and survived.

3)A to Z of City Life- This app was developed as a city guide for Delhi, mentioning all important addresses, phone numbers from baby day care centers, tuitions, hiring servants, dance, music or cookery classes to police Station, Hospitals and other emergency contacts. Used GPS and Location sensor for better response.

4) Manager@Disaster -An app that not only give information about various disasters but also provide solutions in case of emergency.

5) Helping Hands- An App that helps to learn and engage children with special needs through various fun games. This app is used by an NGO called Arushi- for differently abled children.

5) Helping Hands: An app that provides information about various kinds of learning disorders and also contains some games to effectively engage differently-abled students.

FUTURE PLANS:

STUDENTS ARE GETTING THEIR APPS FUCTIONAL ON VARIOUS PLATFORM AND TRYING TO GET THEM REGISTERED ON WINDOWS APP STORE, PLAY STORE AND APP STORE TO MAKE IT AVAILABLE TO LARGE AUDIENCE.
