Sharing- Today we will focus on sharing equal amounts into groups (2s,5s, 10s)- the first page will show you two examples on how to share.

Literacy-Phonics basedRecap tricky wordswww.phonicsplay-parents-interactive resources-phase 3 or 4-tricky word trucks-children see if they can remember the tricky words. Phase 3 for most children, phase 4 or 5 if your child needs a challenge. Parent writes tricky words (2 of each-see below document) on small pieces of paper. Put them all out on the table turned over, children have to pick two cards and see if they match-all the time reminding children of which words they are. Then parent has a go, then child and so on until you have matched all the cards. This will give children lots of practise recognising the words and the letters that they contain.

Use technology (iPad, computer or a phone etc.) - choose a program such as paint and create a space picture. What would you like to include stars, planets, rockets or aliens? If you don’t have access to different technology, you could draw your space picture onto paper. Please share you space picture on tapestry

Art and Design:Reminder of what children learnt about rockets this morning. This afternoon they are building their own rockets! Use whatever you have at home junk modelling wise-plastic bottles, milk cartons, kitchen rolls, paper, bottle tops-and glue together to make a rocket! Children can be very creative! There are some ideas below to help. Please discuss the vocabulary children will have heard about rockets to help them develop understanding and make links. We would love to see a picture on Tapestry of the rocket creations!
