1. The endocrine system is composed of various glands. Each gland secretes hormones. What is a hormone?

The following is a graphic organizer of some of the glands and hormones. Write the effect that the hormone has on the body. Bonus: research the other hormones and write the information on a separate sheet of paper and attach.

The Endocrine System and Feedback Loops

The endocrine system functions to maintain homeostasis by secreting hormones. Feedback loops are a large part of the process. Feedback is a situation when the response of a loop impacts or influences the input or stimulus. See the examples of the two feedback loops below. Research a feedback loop of the endocrine system and draw it on the table. Below, copy what your group did on the table and explain it in your own words.
