The2018CapelMilitaryVehicle Show
WelcomeIf this is your first time visiting, us then welcome and if you are a returning fan then welcome back and thank you for your support in our aim to raise funds in support of military charities and local community projects.
We promise you a bigger, better and more action-packed show than ever before. We have more of everything you love, cars to be crushed big guns to be fired and battles to be fought. We have an amazing range of children’s entertainments including Inflatables, Mini Tanks, Climbing Walls, Archery, Laser Quest and Airsoft ranges. A comprehensive array of local catering stands, fresh coffee, snack and soft drinks bar and of course an ice cream vendor and a licensed bar. We are also lucky to be able to offer you a rare chance to take to the air on your own helicopter flight courtesy of Turwestons, who for a very reasonable fee will fly you round the local area and give you a bird’s eye view of the show. As the sun sets we will continue the fun with an extravagant array of evening’s entertainment

with the amazing Sugar T and the Swells live band supporting Surrey Jive and the return of our much-loved fire dancers. The food stands will be open to 2300 and the bar till midnight. So please either stay on and push through or feel free to pop home for a freshen up and return in your best evening attire.
WhyThe
show is borne out of the passion of a small committed team of military vehicle enthusiasts with a desire to give you an affordable action-packed weekend of military focused entertainment in return for raising much needed funds for charities and local projects.
The show organisers are pleased to announce that this year’s show is supported by the Military Vehicle Trust and is sponsored by local and National companies with BAE Systems as the lead sponsor for the event.
What’s to seeAs well as the exciting arena based activities and entertainments area, outside of the arena there are over 300ex-military vehicles and 3 helicopters being exhibited as well as alargenumber and variety of living history groups spanning a wide range of periods throughout history.Additionally, we are hoping to see the mighty Chinook back with us which will compliment to array of Army and RAF units that are here with us at the show.

ShoppingThis year we have our largest ever range of trade and charity stands providing an interesting variety of merchandise and entertainment for all. And of course, thetombola providing the chance to win some exciting prizes.
The Safety bitAs with all shows of this nature we aim to balance the excitement with essential safety. There will be vehicles both tracked and wheeled moving around the site. Some of these have limited visibility so please do not assume they have seen you and please comply with any instructions issued by the marshaller’s or show staff. We want you to go home safe and eager to come back next year. During the Arena events and battle re-enactments there will be loud bangs and flashes so for those of a nervous disposition, you might be at the wrong event.
You wanted it bigger, louder and more exciting and we have listened and tried to give you what you asked for! In addition to the arena activities there are a large number of military vehicles and living history groups on display and they love to chat. Please

engage them and they will happily explain the history and purpose of the vehicles.
We hope that you and your family enjoy the event and we would welcome any suggestions as to how we may improve future shows as we continue grow.
Please spread the word and invite your friends and family to join us. We value your help and support in enabling us to continue to raise these essential funds on behalf of our supported charities and local community projects.
As you leave after what has hopefully been a great day out, please could we ask you to respect our local neighbours as our event relies heavily on the good will of the local residents.
Thank you and a safe journey home. The dates for next year’s show are the 6th and 7th July. We look forward to seeing you in 2019.
