GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

We STAND to greet the Gospel

THE HOLY GOSPEL

THE HOMILY

SIT

THE PROFESSION OF FAITH

PriestI believe in one God,All stand

Allthe Father almighty,

maker of heaven and earth,

of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the Only Begotten Son of God,

born of the Father before all ages.

God from God, Light from Light,

true God from true God,

begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;

through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation

he came down from heaven,

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin MaryBOW

and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,

he suffered death and was buried,

and rose again on the third day

in accordance with the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory

to judge the living and the dead

and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son,

who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,

who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.

I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins

and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead

and the life of the world to come. Amen.

THE PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL

One of the following responses is used:

Lord, hear us. (or)

AllLord, graciously hear us.

Lord, in your mercy.

AllHear our prayer.

We ask for the prayers of the Saints

and especially those of Mary, Gods Mother and ours, as we say:

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women,

and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,

pray for us sinners, now,

and at the hour of our death. Amen.

THE LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

As the altar is prepared, gifts of Bread and wine are presented and we sing:

A

t the name of JesusEvery knee shall bow,Every tongue confess himKing of glory now:'Tis the Father's pleasureWe should call him Lord,Who from the beginningWas the mighty Word.

2. At his voice creationSprang at once to sight,All the angels facesAll the hosts of light,Thrones and Dominations,Stars upon their way,All the heavenly orders,In their great array.

3. Humbled for a season,To receive a nameFrom the lips of sinnersUnto whom he came,Faithfully he bore itSpotless to the last,Brought it back victorious,When from death he passed:

4. Bore it up triumphantWith its human light,Through all ranks of creatures,To the central height,To the throne of Godhead,To the Father's breast;Filled it with the gloryOf that perfect rest.

5. Name him, brothers, name him,With love as strong as death,But with awe and wonderAnd with bated breath:He is God the Saviour,He is Christ the Lord,Ever to be worshipped,Trusted, and adored.

6. In your hearts enthrone him; There let him subdueAll that is not holy,All that is not true:Crown him as your captainIn temptation's hour;Let his will enfold youIn its light and power.

Brothers, this Lord JesusShall return again,With his Father's glory,With his angel train; For all wreaths of empireMeet upon his brow,And our hearts confess himKing of glory now.

Priest Pray, my brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours

may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.

AllMay the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands

for the praise and glory of his name,

for our good, and the good of all his holy church.

We proclaim your death, Lord Jesus,

Until you come in Glory, until you come in glory.
