2019 VALENTINE’S PARTY: We will be celebrating VALENTINE’S DAY on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 13 and THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14 with a party and activities. The MWF party date has been changed to Wednesday, February 14 due to the public-school holding kindergarten screening on February 15. Family and friends are welcome to join in the fun! PLEASE send YOUR CHILD’S VALENTINES to preschool no later than the THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7, AND/OR FRIDAY FEBRUARY 8. We have found that the party day activities run smoothest when the teachers organize the valentines before the class period. If you are sending candy treats, please check that they do not contain peanut ingredients. Class lists have been tucked in your child’s lockers and emailed to you. Let the teachers know if you need another class list. The Valentine’s Day activities will include a short circle- time of Valentine songs to be followed by the main event of the opening of Valentines. It is always nice to have extra adults to read and assist the children with this activity. Following the opening of valentines we will have snack. After snack we will explore various valentine learning stations, fun science activities, and large motor dancing activities. Our day will wind down with a Valentine story. DENTAL HEALTH: The last two weeks of February our curriculum will focus on dental health. We will be exploring healthy food choices and proper dental hygiene with the help of puppet shows, songs, projects and games. On Monday, February 18 at 9:00 AM and on Thursday, February 21 at 9:35 AM, we will have a guest visit from the hygienist at This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND This Pho to by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY
