Where in the World Should I Go? Role: You are a travel agent preparing a customer for a vacation. You are exploring the ways in which a travel agent uses geographic information to help their clients. Goal: Persuade a customer to visit a specific city that is in a specific country, that is part of a specific continent. You will also be recommending activities to do and the types of clothing your customer should bring with them that will be appropriate for the climate in that location. Audience: Customer looking for a city to visit. Driving Question: What can we, as 3rd grade travel agents, recommend for people to pack if they go and visit different regions on the 6 continents? Role: You are a travel agent preparing a customer for a vacation. You are exploring the ways in which a travel agent uses geographic information to help their clients.

Goal: Persuade a customer to visit a specific city that is in a specific country, that is part of a specific continent. You will also be recommending activities to do and the types of clothing your customer should bring with them that will be appropriate for the climate in that location.

Audience: Customer looking for a city to visit.

Driving Question: What can we, as 3rd grade travel agents, recommend for people to pack if they go and visit different regions on the 6 continents?

Part 1. Directions: Create a map key for the following geographic features. Use the landform map in Britannica to help you locate and label each feature. You may need to look up the feature in a separate Britannica article in order to locate and label it on the map.

Type your continent into the search box. Make sure it’s the continent.

4. Use the maps and the information in Natural Environments or Land and Climate section to locate and label the features on your map key.

5. Create symbols to represent the geographic features on you map key. 6. Draw those symbols on your map. Use the information in Britannica to help you locate the exact locations of these features.

Part 2. Directions:1. Use the maps in Natural Environments or Land and Climate section to locate and label

the country you are going to research for your client.2. On the map key, pick a color to label your country. 3. Color the country that color4. Write the name of your country on your map key

Part 3. Directions: Using the Natural Features section of your article in Britannica, list any additional facts and features about your continent that you find interesting or important.

Part 4. Directions: 1. Go to weather-and-climate.com. 2. Locate your country on the list and click on it.

Part 5. Directions: 1. Scroll to the map at the bottom of the weather-and-climate.com page. 2. Select a city to visit by clicking on a pin. This is the city you will plan a trip to.

3. Fill in the chart with the information about this city.

4. You will need to use the weather charts on the bottom of the webpage to get your weather averages. Please click show in Fahrenheit for temperatures and show in inches for precipitation.

Part 6. Directions: 1. Consider the summer weather and winter weather for your city.
