SEED COLLECTION - We’ll be collecting seeds for Moringa Community as we have in the past during the month of February.  They'll be sent in time for planting season.  Moringa has a hot, arid climate.  The people need produce that gives them high protein such as beans (all kinds), cabbage, lettuce, squash, corn and tomatoes.  They had great success with their cabbages this past year and were able to sell their produce and make an average of $3-400 a month in sales. Jeff Lohr has updated their website with his blog.  Check it out at www.moringacommunity.org.  He details the progress they have made this year and the plans for future needs. Project Outreach - Save the Dates - March 3, 2016All are welcome to come and help package and distribute bags from 9am to 12pm on the scheduled dates.

Check out recent happenings and upcoming events on Facebook/Spring-Ford Project Outreach.

Save the Date It has been 50 years since we moved to our current location. We will be celebrating with a lunch and fellowship on April 3rd, 2016, after the service.

Feb 26-27 PSEC Clergy Couple’s Retreat – New Hope

There is nothing new about the notion of noticing. Paying closer attention does not cost money; it doesn’t take tons of time; it doesn’t require weight-lifting or cutting calories. It just takes intention. And the benefit for us as individuals and couples is immense because mind attuned attention opens us to Compassion. During the retreat we will explore and experience mindful attention to God, to ourselves and to our partners and identify a “practice” or two we might experiment with following the retreat.

The Revs. Nancy and Gary Schongalla-Bowman, our hosts, have 30 years on the marital odometer, three sons, 2 daughters-in law, and four grand-girls. Nancy serves as Director of Student Counseling at Princeton Theological Seminary and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. Gary pastored congregations for four decades and has retired four times! He is quite content attending to the home front and believes this retirement is the last. We teach what we need to learn; Nancy and Gary are excited about this retreat theme and look forward to deepening in mindfulness with other couples.
