Integers are the set of whole numbers and their opposites. Whole numbers greater than zero are called positive integers. Whole numbers less than zero are called negative integers. The integer zero is neither positive nor negative, and has no sign. 

There are multiple activities in this project that will involve various math skills. As you work through each activity, you may need to seek assistance with concepts. Please use all available resources including: friends, internet, and teachers.

You are planning a vacation for your family over the Spring Break. You have decided that you will go to Disney World in Florida. You are going to plan the trip for your family of five. It will last 7 days, 6 nights. You will have to book flights, hotels, car rental, insurance, figure out food costs and other items that will come along in your trip.Ready to think like an adult? Here we go…

For the bar and line graphs, make sure you use a sheet of graph paper, create a graph. Make sure 

it  includes all elements required: Title X Axis – labels and title Y Axis – labels and title

For the pictograph, make sure you use the format to the left to help you display your data.

Circle GraphsCreating a Circle Graph is easy once you understand that you have to break the circle into sections. Remember that a circle has 3600, therefore it can be broken into 360 individual parts, or you can break it up like a clock into 12 parts, or 8 parts, like a pizza, and so on. If you broke it up into percentages, you could use 36 sections of 10% each, or 4 sections of 90% each. There are many ways to do this. Use the chart below to help you make a decision when making Circle Graphs.It is important to understand the concepts, but there are many tools available to help you create these graphs, including Excel and websites like this https://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph/ Try them out, but only after you understand the concept of how Circle Graphs work.

Now you will look a budgeting for your family. You will balance your bank account and track your spending.You are a young person living with a friend. You have rented a two bedroom apartment in Vancouver, and you are trying to save for school. You will use the following expenses to budget your life, make decisions and save for your future.

This is an example of a budget sheet a person may use to plan their money. Notice all of the items that people have to pay for each month. Money comes in, and money goes out, and we have to make sure that we are responsible for our finances so we can live a reasonable life without going into debt.
