OUR COLOUR RANGEWebbing Products offers an extensive colour range in excess of 100 colours to meet customers’ requirements. This colour range can be expanded further to
include any specific need identified by our customers.
Colour masters are maintained electronically and matched using a colour spectrophotometer. A spectrophotometer is a colour measurement device used to capture and evaluate colour. As part of a colour control program, it provides the company to specify and communicate colour and to monitor colour accuracy and consistency through production unbiased by a reliance on visual measurement (https://www.xrite.com/learning/other-resources/what-is-a-spectrophotometer).
A combination of the colour spectrophotometer, technical dyestuff data and state of the art predictive software ensures a colour matching process that is efficient and accurate thus ensuring optimal cost management during both the product development and manufacturing processes.
PANTONE COLOUR MATCHING RGB COLOUR SYSTEM
The Pantone Colour Matching System is an international standardized colour
reproduction system widely used in diverse industries.
By standardising the colours, different users in various locations can all refer
to the Pantone system to make sure colours match without direct contact
with one another
The RGB colour system is an additive colour model in which red, green and
blue light are added together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of
colours. The name of the model comes from the initials of the three additive
primary colours, red, green, and blue. The main purpose of the RGB colour
system is for the sensing, representation and display of images in electronic
systems and is a device-dependent colour model.
COLOUR MATCHINGColour matching can be provided to customers through one the followingmethods:
• Colour selection from the standard range of colours
• Colour matching from a sample supplied by the customer
• Colour selection from international colour systems, Pantone or RGB

• Recovery webbing, also known as snatch straps or kinetic webbing,
is manufactured from high strength industrial polyamide yarn which
ensures the required high elongation properties of the webbing.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
DIVERSITYA diverse product range caters for sling manufacture in light and heavy industrial lifting applications.
SAFETYWebbing flexibility allows for lifting accessories that can be fitted easily and quickly, offer optimum work safety and excellent handling capabilities. Synthetic slings significantly reduce the risk of accidental incendiary occurrences, highly recommended for applications on oil and gas rigs where there is a greater risk of fire. The textile nature of the sling webbing further reduces the risk of injury during use. Failure of a textile sling when incorrectly used will also result in less damage than an equivalent steel wire sling.
SAFETY FACTORSLifting sling webbing is designed for use in sling manufacture providing various safety factors required in terms of industry specific standards. While geographical requirements may vary general safety factors include 7:1 and 8:1 which are available within the lifting sling range.
EASE OF USEWebbing slings are lightweight and easier to use than chain or steel wire rope. Webbing lifting slings are supple, shock absorbing and adapt to fit the applicable load without causing any damage. Together with an ability to lift greasy or polished surfaces, lifting sling webbing provides excellent handling capabilities.
PRODUCT STRENGTHThe webbing has a high strength to weight ratio and is comparable to equivalent
steel applications while providing for load bearing surface of the high quality for a better grip over smooth and fragile loads. Tubular webbings can be interwoven with specialised filler yarns to add extra strength to lifting webbing, for use in extra heavy duty lifting applications.
HIGH ABRASION RESISTANCEThe natural abrasion resistance of the polyester yarn, together with various weave patterns, provides high abrasion resistance for the end sling application. This provides for longer lasting applications.
UV RESISTANCEPolyester is highly resistant to ultra violet light, providing an ideal yarn choice for outdoor applications requiring long lasting strength and longevity.
LOW WATER ABSORPTION AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCEPolyester webbings are water resistant as well as resistant to mould, rotting and certain chemical contaminants. Specialised finishes are also available to enhance the inherent properties of the webbing or to add custom characteristics to the webbing.
RECOVERY WEBBINGThe use of high strength industrial polyamide ensures the elongation requirements of the webbing thus providing the kinetic energy used in vehicle recovery, while ensuring the webbing meets the required break strength of the various applications.
ACCREDITATIONWebbing Products is ISO 9001:2015 certified with its quality management system key in producing high quality products for global supply.
High quality materials and European manufacturing technology is utilised to provide a superior product performance which is supported by the company’s ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Vigorous in house testing further supports the stringent manufacturing and quality control processes to ensure compliance to stringent international standards within safety critical applications.

CONSTRUCTION
• Powerite® protective sleeving is manufactured using twisted continuous polyamide yarn tightly woven providing best strength, impact
resistance and abrasion characteristics over other standard and texturised yarns. The melting point of the polyamide utilised is 220°C.
Working temperatures range from -40°C to 150°C. UV resistant according to AS 1891.
• Powerite® protective sleeving is available in black as standard, while other colours can be manufactured to order and are available in
the following range:
FEATURES & BENEFITS
PIN HOLE AND BURST RESISTANCEThe Powerite® protective sleeving is designed to disperse high pressure pin hole bursts or failure experienced by hydraulic hoses as well as to limit damage from such failures.
The sleeving is designed to allow dispersed fluid to weep through the sleeving and the channel end clamps to prevent dangerous build-up of pressure and to visibly warn operators of a malfunction.
Powerite® protective sleeving has been subjected to pressures of 400 bar (5 800 Psi) from a 1mm jet of fluid while safely diffusing the fluid energy. It is important to note that the use of the correct sleeving size is critical to ensuring the correct fluid dispersal.
ABRASION RESISTANCEThe combination of materials utilised, product design and tight weave provide the Powerite® protective sleeving with excellent abrasion resistance perfectly suited to protect hosing applications in harsh environments, while still allowing for ease of use given the flexible nature of the textile.
The Powerite® protective sleeving provides superior results and is tested to and conforms to the requirements of ISO 6945. When tested, the sleeving endured in excess of 150 000 cycles without perforation. The Powerite® protective sleeving also experienced no loss of material when measured in terms of ISO 6805. ISO 6805 requires the sleeving to have achieved no loss of material greater than 1 gram when subjected to an applied load on the blade for 2 000 cycles.
When tested against the seat belt abrasion standard SAE J386, the Powerite® protective sleeving conformed to the test requirements after exceeding 75 000 cycles and maintains its excellent flame retardant and anti-static properties.
FLAME RETARDENCYThe Powerite® protective sleeving exceeds the performance levels required in terms of ISO 6805 when tested to ISO 8030 and self-extinguishes in less than 30 seconds.
It also meets the requirements of MDG41 for use in underground coal mines.
Powerite® protective sleeving has received Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) approval for flame resistance. Approval numbers IC-319/1 and IC-319/2.
ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITYWhen tested in accordance with ISO 8031, the Powerite® protective sleeving achieves excellent results, well below one mega ohm per meter and as such provides an outstanding rationale for use within many applications, and specifically, within the underground coal mining industry.
Powerite® protective sleeving easily complies with both the requirements of ISO 6805 and MDG41, being less than two mega ohm and one mega ohm per meter respectively.
