The Beginning

• A webcast is a media presentation distributed over the Internet using streaming media technology to distribute a single content source to many simultaneous listeners/viewers.*
• The first webcast was in 1995 by Apple and was an audio event event.*
• Connecting Media was one of the first companies to do live webcasting using a special IFP Van (Internet Field Production) dedicated to webcasting.*

• You may need to completely rethink how you sell webcasting.
• You may need to renegotiate with your vendors.
• You will have to accept that some customers will not like the change.
• You will have to be more transparent/open on how you do what you do (without giving it all away).
• You will need to build a community of like minded customers, professionals, vendors & partners.
