Q: How will I teach a summary passage in 6 minutes?A: The length of the summary will determine how long it will take. If the module is quite long, consider dividing it into two or more meaningful parts, each part having its own objectives and set of questions.
Q: What ways can a school monetize if their students start using e-learning platforms?A: Most eLearning platforms are not too expensive. The school needs to be able to calculate the cost of having the elearning platforms, and honestly factor this cost to the students or their parents.
Q: Which elearning platform is suitable for a Junior Sec school of 50 learners?A: There are several factors to consider when deciding to opt for an elearning platform. If your only factor in this case is size, then solutions like Zoom LMS and Google Classroom will handle your eLearning needs for a school of 50 students.

Q: How can one teach maths using animations in pre-recorded video?A: There are several authoring tools that can be used in teaching and recording in the process. Camtasia does a great job in doing this. You can also use some other authoring tools to deliver your mathematics lessons, and record the lessons in the process. You can learn some of these tools online or get in touch with us for training/consulting.
Q: What is the rate of data consumption for live video and pre-recorded video lessons?A: Rate of data consumption is dependent on length of video, type of authoring tool used and on your internet service provider. Generally live streaming requires a better internet strength and speed for a seamless experience, compared to the alternative of uploading and downloading short video lessons.

Q: What about those of us that work with children in remote villages that don't have access to videos? A: eLearning primarily thrives when there is access to the basics including devices and data. For rural areas, much attention should be paid to pre-recorded lessons or other forms of content that can be accessed with not too expensive mobile devices.
Q: For microlearning, how were you to limit it between 6-10mins? If you do it halfway and stop because of time, you will probably need to start again A: The idea is to divide the lessons into short, meaningful and purposeful bits. If you exceed the time limit during creation, you can divide again into meaningful bits whenever it’s possible.
Q:Is micro learning applicable to interactive teaching which can last a long time? Does age not matter in the choice of duration? A: Microlearning is primarily focused on building short and meaningful bits of content for learners. The key phrase here is content development. Microlearning content can then be used to teach in an interactive way.

Q: How can content be best created, the simple tools used, factors to consider...etc A: The key factors to consider when creating content include: Audience, Delivery method, and then selection of the right tool to use. You will be needing some sort of ‘instructional delivery’ skills to know more on this.
Q: Of all the microlearning tools you mentioned, which of them would you recommend for science based content?A: This depends as there are a lot of microlearning authoring tools available for content development. Your delivery method will help determine which tool to use.
Q: How do I relate this to a polytechnic system with over 100+ students?A: There are paid versions of LMS that allows you to connect with over 200 people at the same time, if you are interested in live lessons. There are also robust eLearning platforms that you can host online for access to online content and learning. Q: I will love to use Google meet for teaching. How did you attach those files?A: There is an attach button on the interface. You can learn all about Google Meet and it's features on the official website here or you can reach us on [email protected] to help with set up and training for your school.
Q: There are proofs in mathematics that exceed 8 minutes and with 2 different examples for explanations. This can take over 25 minutes. Micro learning can't work here. A: This use of microlearning is situational, and doesn’t have to be applied everywhere. However, a key concept you can always use is to ensure you divide the lessons into smaller, meaningful parts where possible.

Q: Pls how can I teach the nursery class online ?A: Your best bet here is to use short, pre-recorded or animated lesson options with lots of interactive exercises/games in between. These videos can be played to the kids by their parent
Q: How can micro learning be useful in revision content for examination candidates? A: Microlearning lays emphasis on teaching with direct interest on key points. With your revision notes, you can easily create short and meaningful content which is targeted towards the examination.
Q: How do you use these learning tools e.g Articula, Adobe Captivate etc. Kindly elaborate more on it. Are there any technical features about them that you did not mention?A: This would require a very long and elaborate conversation. Q: Is it possible to compress a topic within 6-10mins for primary school pupils?A: Depends on the length of the topic. However, a topic can always be compressed into several short (6-10min) meaningful parts.
Q: Which platform is good for primary schoolA: Each of the platforms previously mentioned can comfortably be used by primary and secondary schools. Q: Please can google g-suite take care of a class of 30, especially if you are considering using google meet which is part of the g-suite in favor of zoomA: Yes Google Meet can take up to 250 people while Google classroom can take care of a class of less than 30.
Q: How can micro teaching be applied in teaching Mathematics taking into consideration time factor and number of students?A: Developing content using the microlearning approach will guide you in teaching with much more focus and improve student understanding and attention. You can apply this to every subject and topic.
