Web based e-mail

Webmail is a Web based email system.

Web based e-mail differs from the standard (POP3) e-mail that you may

have used in some other email client.

With Web based email:

• You do not use a specialized e-mail program to access your e-mails,

only a Web browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator or

Mozilla Fire Fox.

You can access your e-mails from any computer that has Internetaccess, anywhere in the world.

• Your emails are not downloaded to your local computer, but stay on

the server.

• Stay on a server but can be looked at from anywhere using a Web

browser like Internet Explorer
