Some Best Practices to Consider- Look up your own if interested
Do you prefer navigation bar on the top or left?
Think about the “space” or “real estate” remaining on the webpage horizontally
then compare each option.

THE CURRENT NAVIGATION BAR
This is the view of a new visitor to the site.
How many options do they see?
Do they know what all those things mean?
Would that be confusing or helpful to someone who is not a member that we want to attract?
REMEMBER: Keep it simple so there are not too many options and it is cut and clear where to go.

5 TIPSHTTP://GRAPHICDESIGN.ABOUT.COM/OD/EFFECTIVEWEBSITES/A/WEB_NAVIGATION.HTM
1. Navigation should be easy to find
2. Keep it consistent
3. Use obvious section names
4. Less is more - Keep it simple
5. Remind the user where they are
HOW DO WE RE-ORGANIZE THEM?
Your turn to think of 5-6
main heading for
ALL of these
options to fit under.
See my recommendation on the next
page.
RECOMMENDATION
Every page on old site is still on new site, but re-organized under these headings. You will see the
re-organized pages on next slide.
RECOMMENDATION
This is a screenshot of each option under each menu that I can use as a pull down or put on each
page without a pull down.(all pages are still here, just moved or condensed)
