CORE Cider House is situated on 40 acres of picturesque apple orchards and state forest in the Perth Hills . The property has been likened to being ‘the Margaret River of the Perth Hills’ yet is only 35 minutes from the city .

CORE espouses rustic sophistication from the pristine Dragonfly Ponds for your wedding ceremony in the valley of the orchard, to the alfresco dining options both in the garden or the upstairs restaurant deck .

In addition to spectacular 180 degree views of the orchard and forest, CORE offers 3 superb dining choices, prepared by talented chefs, all accompanied and complimented by award winning ciders and estate grown wines .

CORE is ideally suited to seated weddings of 75 to 85 guests and cocktail weddings of 75 to 150 guests . A minimum payment for 75 guests is required for both function styles .

CORE’s wedding coordinator will work closely with you, planning your special day, ensuring a stress free and relaxed day .

CORE function areas

The Dragonfly Ponds — for your wedding ceremonyThe Dragonfly Ponds, situated down in the valley of the orchard, are a hidden gem and are a gentle stroll for your guests from the Cider House through the beautiful Apple Avenues . The bride is able to be escorted by car to the Ponds, as are the elderly . Totally tranquil with gentle fountains and abundance of bird life, you can marry in private and beautiful surrounds .

The Cider GardenSurrounded by apple trees, the Cider Garden is a beautiful casual space to hold your function or pre-reception drinks, with an outside bar area available for guests .

The use of the Cider Garden for pre-reception drinks is complimentary when hiring both the Dragonfly Ponds and the Cider House and canapés are included in the menu options to enhance the experience for your guests . The Cider Garden, and adjacent lawn areas have become a popular location for summer/autumn cocktail receptions catering for approximately 120 guests .

The DeckThe deck allows for guests to have expansive views of the valley and surrounding orchards and can accommodate approximately 85 guests for a seated dinner . It is a stunning space for your reception .

The CORE-t-yardAdjacent to the Cider House under the main roof, the CORE-t-yard is a rustic and cosy space which makes the perfect dance floor . With great visibility to both upstairs and the Cider Garden it’s perfect for speeches and the DJ with its own in house music system .

Wedding cake/tea & coffee

Wedding cakeThe cutting of the wedding cake is an exciting time for the bride and groom to share with their friends and family . Following are two options for the plating up and distribution of the wedding cake, if required:

1 Gift boxing (to take away) $2.50pp

The chef will package up the cake slices or cup cakes for guests to take home . Cake boxes not included .

2 Garnished cake servings $4.50 per serving

The wedding cake will be portioned and individually plated . Each serving will be given whipped double cream and garnished with berry compote .

Coffee and teaFreshly roasted coffee, from our barista, and gourmet teas are included in the all inclusive beverage packages of 5 and 6 hours . Tea and coffee is charged at regular restaurant prices with the ‘On Consumption’ package .

Any amount above the ‘on consumption’ spend must be paid for in full at the conclusion of the reception with a credit card to be supplied to settle the tab . BYO alcohol is at the discretion of the functions coordinator and must be approved prior to the function . Commercial product to be supplied only — no home brews .

The rates for minors under 18 years are $18 per person . Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian and are restricted to non-alcoholic drinks only . Guests may be asked for proof of age .

You will have exclusive use of CORE Cider House and surrounds after 4pm — our large deck area, Cider Garden, Dragonfly Ponds and areas of the orchard for photography . Also included is a team of dedicated staff, to service your wedding .

Venue hire chargesCORE offers an all-inclusive venue hire charge including the Dragonfly Ponds (available from 4pm), Cider Garden, Cider House (for seated functions only), lawn areas and access to orchard for photos . The non-refundable venue hire charge is $1,800 Wednesday to Friday and $2,000 on Saturdays . CORE is not available Sunday to Tuesdays for weddings .

The venue hire includes:

• Functions coordinator liaison• Exclusive use (for the ceremony & reception selection package) of all areas including access to the orchard &

surrounds for photos (boundaries will be specified)• All glassware, china & crockery• All restaurant furniture• Festoon lighting on the deck of the cider house• Gift & cake tables with tablecloths• Setting up of existing tables & chairs for reception (does not include table decorations)• Use of available decorative wine barrels (2)• Food & beverage staff• General cleaning fees & consumables • Use of bocce pitch• Bridal party refreshments, including canapes and drinks delivered during photos • Reception sound system

Optional extras for your ceremony at the Dragonfly Ponds

• $200 — 20 white ceremony chairs, 2 decorative wine barrels, signing table with cloth, 2 white armed chairs for signing table

• $100 for additional 20 white ceremony chairs

Items NOT included in the venue hire that you may wish to arrange with an external vendor:

• Setting up furniture/items other than what is provided by the venue• Dressing chairs with sashes/covers• Table decorations such as vases or flowers or set-up of table decorations or name place cards .

(NB: Table decoration set-up can be arranged for a fee of $150)• Linen table cloths/linen napkins• Marquees/market umbrellas (Please note: star pickets & pegs must not be driven into any lawn areas .

• The Dragonfly Ponds* has easy vehicle access for the bridal car and for direct drop off for equipment, decorations and the elderly . Vehicles are only permitted on the marked tracks and in sign posted areas . STRICTLY NO VEHICLES ON LAWN AREA .

• Limo drop offs can be accommodated, however access to the Dragonfly Ponds is limited . Please check that your limo can access the area prior to booking .

• Please inform guests that CORE Cider House is an outdoor venue and appropriate footwear and clothing is advised . It is recommended to bring jackets for evenings .

• Lawn games and a photo booth are a great way to help guests interact .

• CORE Cider has a bocce pitch, which you are welcome to use .

• Shuttle busses are a great way to transport guests to and from the venue .

• Taxis do not always arrive when called, even when booked! Uber is a good alternative .

Please carefully read all CORE function Terms and Conditions. These Terms & Conditions may be subject to change, with such changes posted on CORE’s website.

These are agreed to when the booking form is signed by the client and are non-negotiable.

Key timetable of events for your function

To assist you in planning for your wedding these are the following key events, described further below:

To secure your booking Return the signed Terms and Conditions, Booking Form and payment of the non-refundable $2,000 (or $1,800) venue hire fee

3 months before your wedding 50% of the estimated cost of the function is to be paid

2 months before your wedding 25% of the estimated cost of the function is to be paid

1 month before your wedding Confirmation of the final number of guests attendingConfirmation of the final menu and drinks package choices (including any special dietary requirements)25% of the final cost of the function is to be paid

Prior to your wedding We understand that late changes sometimes need to be made. Please advise us as soon as you become aware of any increases in guest numbers of any other additional requirements you may have.We will work with you to accommodate these as best we can and issue any final adjusted invoices if required. Such invoices will require immediate payment.

On the date of your wedding Settle any outstanding bar-tab (pre payment or security (credit card) required)

CORE does not accept tentative bookings. In order to secure your booking and the date of your function, we require you to sign and return the wedding booking terms and conditions, wedding booking form and the payment of your non-refundable venue hire fees. Once processed CORE will confirm the date of your function.

Payment terms

You will be provided with a tax invoice setting out clearly the amounts due, and when, and must pay all charges prior to their due dates, according to the Key Timetable of Events above.

If the beverage package ‘on consumption’ is selected, the minimum of $45 per person must be paid with other fees. If an extra amount is added to the TAB, this must be paid for at the conclusion of the function or the nominated credit card will be charged. A tax invoice and receipt will be provided. Prices quoted are subject to change.

We would share in your disappointment if your wedding was cancelled, however we are unable to refund any monies (including the venue hire fee) that have been paid towards your function.

Smoking

Due to an ever-prevalent fire hazard in the hills, we request that patrons smoke only in designated areas. Candles are not permitted at any time — we recommend SafeFlame LED candles. Sparklers are not allowed December to March due to fire restrictions.

Deliveries and cleanup

Please advise the functions coordinator of any deliveries to the venue, with deliveries to be received no later than 10am on the day of the function. No function set-up is allowed during CORE opening hours, with all set-up at the discretion of the functions coordinator. All pickups of stored items must be completed by 10am the following morning of the function. Otherwise a storage fee of $250 will be incurred. No responsibility can be taken for items left at CORE overnight.

Function schedule and responsibilities

The function will commence and conclude at the agreed scheduled times. Any extension of time either before or after the allocated time may be granted at an additional fee of $250 per hour.

Guests are required to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and in full compliance with the CORE Cider House management team and WA Liquor Licencing Laws. Unsafe and/or unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to refuse the service of alcohol as part of our Duty of Care and Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements. BYO beer will be at the discretion of the functions coordinator and must be delivered and approved prior to the function commencement.

CORE Cider House is located on a working farm and there is to be no orchard access once photos are completed. No outside food or alcoholic drinks are permitted at any time without prior consent from the functions coordinator.

Confetti, rice or glitter must not be bought on to the premises or a $200 cleaning fee will be incurred. Similarly, all rose petals must be cleaned up at the conclusion of the ceremony or a cleaning fee will be charged.

The grounds must be completely vacated by 11.30pm including the car park, with additional charges of $250 per hour or part thereof after this time.

To respect our neighbours and the Shire of Kalamunda conditions, CORE reserves the right to control music levels at all times. All parties are required to sign CORE’s Noise control contract at least one week prior to the function. All DJ’s and live music must be set up within the building and in designated areas. Amplified music is to be connected through CORE’s in house music system and no external amps or speakers (including foldback speakers) are allowed.

Please also be aware that CORE is constantly upgrading its venue, however all reasonable efforts will be made to minimise the impact (if any) on your function.

CORE does not accept any responsibility for inclement weather: it is the responsibility of the organiser to be prepared for any possible weather conditions, including rain.

Use of external furniture will incur a $250 fee. Please discuss your exact requirements with the wedding coordinator.

Damages

Any damage to the property, facilities, equipment, fittings or surroundings caused by your guests and vendors to the CORE Cider House venue and orchards will be the responsibility of the organizer, with the costs associated forwarded onto the client and to be paid within 7 days. Any extra cleaning as a result of your event will incur charges of $50 per hour or part thereof.

Should any accidents occur in the orchard or at the CORE Cider House, you will be liable.

Limitation of liability

By accepting these terms and conditions you agree to fully indemnify CORE Cider House, its management, staff and all related entities, for all liability, loss, or damage that may be suffered as a result of claims, demands, costs, or judgements arising from your event.

You must ensure that all of your suppliers hold public liability insurance and you must arrange for them to provide a Certificate of Cover to CORE.

In particular CORE Cider House will not be liable for any damage or injury suffered to, by or in conjunction with children, including if children leave the venue or are not properly supervised by responsible adults.

This signed Terms & Conditions page must be returned with the booking form (page 14) to confirm your booking.
