WEDDING CEREMONY
Q: Can we have a priest to conduct the religious ceremony? A: Yes, we do have a non-demonational priest to conduct the wedding ceremony. A Catholic priest will only perform ceremonies in a Church building or by exception.
Q: Do we have to write our own vows or does the minister have standard vows for us to say during the ceremony? A: We can arrange a meeting with the minister to discuss the vows before the wedding day. Either way is possible.
Q: What can we expect from the wedding planner? A: The first mission that a wedding planner will have is reassuring the couple that every wish will be met on their wedding day. The Curacao Marriott wedding Staff has planners with more then 20 years of experience in the wedding planning field.
Q: Does the hotel charge a wedding coordination fee? A: Yes, we do charge a wedding coordination fee starting at USD$500.00. The pricing of the wedding coordination fee may vary depending on the tasks involved and your level of expertise. We can arrange from the hair and make –up till the most little detail for your wedding ceremony.
Q: Can I Add the unity sand ceremony to our wedding ceremony? A: Any special tradition you may have is more then welcome! We have many nationalities on the island and therefore we use to work with different traditions throughout the years.
Q: what should the dress code be for a beach wedding at the Curacao Marriott? A: the wedding attire has to fit the type of wedding you have chosen, as well as reflects your personal style. For a beach wedding, look for a light sundress for daytime, or a long elegant dress depending on the theme or color of the wedding party. For men we suggest linen wedding attire such linen shirts or suits for casual, beach.
Q: How many witnesses will we need for the ceremony? A: For the ceremony the civil registry requires a total of 6 witnesses to be present during the ceremony.
Q: Can we have a run trough with the DJ/ or Band? A: We recommend you to send us a playlist and we will pass this to the DJ or band.
Q: Till what time can we have music at our reception at the pool? A: Music at the pool is allowed till 10pm
Q: Till what time can we have music at our reception at the beach? A: Music at the beach is allowed till 10pm.
Q: What is the next step after reserving the date? A: After reviewing the wedding package, please let us know the exact date you wish to get married for us to book the date and reserve the location. The next step is submitting all the necessary legal documents requested by the Civil Registry. For only wedding blessing or wedding renewal no documentation needs to be submitted.
FLOWERS, WEDDING CAKE & MORE
Q: How do I let the wedding planner know the type of flowers and style I want for my bouquet, boutonnières, corsages and bridesmaid bouquets? A: Please send us pictures of the bouquets and our florist will use her creation as per your request.
Q: Are there all type of flowers available on the island? A: We do have a variety of imported flowers on the island but some flowers are not available because of our weather, for example Tulips.
Q: Can we choose my own wedding cake design? A: Yes, you can send us a picture of the selected wedding cake and we will have our experienced pastry chef do the rest. We do not recommend an icing cake due to our weather.
WEDDING CEREMONY & RECEPTION
Q: What are the wedding locations at the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort? A: We have 3 main locations at the Curacao Marriott are: - A private Palapa area a few inches away from the beach. - Poolside, overlooking the ocean - Our Ballroom (w 39.3 x L 77.4 x H 11.5)
Q: Does the hotel have a hair and make-up stylist? A: We work with a stylist for hair and make-up. An appointment can be made for a trial before the wedding.
Q: Will it be possible to organize a rehearsal and a rehearsal dinner before the wedding date? A: Yes, we can arrange the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding ceremony or any day that is convenient on another location that is not the wedding location. We will make sure that you get time to hang out with your wedding party and family.
Q: How will I get a sense of how the actual wedding day will be like? A: A Flow of Events will be made by our wedding planner with all the agreement. This Flow of Events will be the schedule for the whole day and will have all the information for that special day.
Q: Will the ceremony take place in the sand? A: Yes, the actual ceremony will take place in the sand. We can always arrange a runner (walking path to the location of the wedding). Also, we do have a wooden deck /floor outside if in any case you would like to have your ceremony outside on the beach but not on the sand.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Q: How flexible is your chef with guests having dietary restrictions? A: Any special dietary request have our chef’s attention and will be adjusted to suit your needs. The menu’s can be adjusted easily to meet any special dietary requests.
Q: I will be sending some gifts for our guests. Are there any instructions on shipping to the hotel and whether I need to do anything in addition for customs? A: Sending us items for the wedding in advance is not a problem. Send the package to the contact person of the hotel along with your name and date of the wedding. Note that Customs will probably charge import taxes depending on the items shipped. We will add these costs to your final invoice.

Q: Can we offer our guest refreshment prior the ceremony at the beach? A: Chilled bottles of water or any other cold drinks like fresh coconut water and frozen drinks will be more then welcome during this hour.
Q: When is it recommendable to start plan all the details, like flower details, decoration etc.? A: It’s recommendable to start 8 to 6 months before the wedding date, although our staff will be able to set up a wedding in less than a month.
Q: What documents do I have to present, if we are only having a religious ceremony? A: For a religious ceremony but its recommended to travel with the any documents that proves prior nuptials.
ROOMS
Q: Do you offer special wedding rates? A: We do apply a special wedding rate for 10 rooms or more. The rate varies depending on the time of the year. After signing the Wedding Agreement we will send you the Reservation Form for all your guests with this special rate. This Form needs to be returned, fill out with all the information requested and returned signed to our Reservation Department.
Q: We are staying at the Curacao Marriott with an all inclusive package. Is my wedding function included? A: No banquet functions are included in the all inclusive package.
