Better known for its prestigious annual Film and

Television Awards, 195 Piccadilly is the headquarters

of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts

(BAFTA).

Set within an enviable location in the heart of London’s

West End, 195 Piccadilly was originally built in 1831 to

house the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours.

The discrete street frontage of the building conceals

some unique and unusual spaces, including the beautiful

bright and spacious David Lean Room, the iconic

Princess Anne Theatre and the modern Mezzanine.

These three main spaces are all licensed for weddings

and civil ceremonies and have become popular for

special events with a difference.

195 Piccadilly is merited for its fine dining, delivered by our Head Chef Anton Manganaro who strives to source locally, free range, and sustainable produce wherever possible.

Our ethos is to use local high quality ingredients and create a menu that has a modern twist on quintessentially British dishes.

The Catering


Licensed spacesThe David Lean Room

This stunning room with large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking St James’s Church and garden is an ideal space for a wedding ceremony. Seating up to 180 theatre-style it lends itself perfectly to a ceremony which exudes style and sophistication.

The room has an adjoining reception space (the Foyer Bar), where guests gather before taking their seats. Should you wish to use the David Lean Room for the Wedding Breakfast and Reception, the space can be transformed whilst guests enjoy our fabulous canapés and champagne. Seating up to 160 for a dinner and dancing, this is our largest entertaining area with a beautifully fitted bar.


Licensed spacesThe Princess Anne Theatre

Our state-of-the-art cinema is a truly modern, unique space to say your vows. With 227 tiered seats your guests won’t miss a thing. Guests will sit in chairs endorsed by the likes of Steven Spielberg, Madonna, George Clooney and Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones to keep your guests entertained before your big arrival.

With the luxurious ceremony in the Princess Anne Theatre, this combines brilliantly with the David Lean Room for your Wedding Breakfast and Reception which is one of a kind.


Licensed spacesThe Mezzanine

Licensed for up to 60 people, this is a really sophisticated space in which to be married. The Mezzanine overlooks the exclusive Private Members Club which is the home of members including film directors, screenwriters, set designers and actors.

The large atrium above the Mezzanine floods the space with light and the adjacent Gallery is the perfect space for the Bride and her entourage to group with a glass of champagne before walking down the aisle. For an intimate wedding, this truly is a well-kept secret!

THE CEREMONY AND WEDDING BREAKFAST PACKAGE

£125.00 + VAT per person

Should you be interested in having the ceremony in the David Lean Room followed by a reception in the adjoining Foyer Bar, we have created a package with all the most important elements.

• Room Hire of the David Lean Room and Foyer Bar from 1.00pm–12.00am

• One glass of sparkling wine on arrival

• Three-course meal with tea, coffee and petits fours

• One bottle of still/sparkling water per person

• Half a bottle of wine during dinner

• Black and/or white linen

• Waiters and all the staffing

• Security staff

• A dedicated Events Manager

These numbers are based on a minimum of 100 people.

‘Exclusively 195’There is the opportunity to hire out the whole premises exclusively so you have sole use of all the contemporary spaces here at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly.

Available on weekend, this ‘buy out’ fee is £10,000.00 + VAT for the premises.

Included in this hire fee is the following:

• Use of all the spaces on an exclusive basis on a weekend:

• Dedicated Banqueting Manager

• Two security staff

• One hostess (based at reception) and available for assisting with ushering guests

• Service staff to deliver the event.

• In-house linen (black and white) and standard crockery, cutlery and essential catering equipment to deliver the event.

We would supply the catering for this event unless you required kosher catering.

Should you wish to hire the premises and have kosher catering, this charge would apply, and one of our accredited kosher caterers would be used. Please see our accredited list for details.
