We tailor make weddings to suit your wedding vision, we’ll make sure everything is exactly the way you want it. Summer, autumn or winter, to a last minute whirlwind wedding, we’ve got a package for every occasion.

THE WEDDING

Whatever you’re looking for we will provide. Whether you want elegant surroundings for an intimate wedding breakfast or a more elaborate celebration, we have it all. All our function rooms are in the original house dating from the elegant Regency period and have opulent décor and furnishings that reflect one of the most romantic periods in British history. Floor to ceiling windows ensure all of your guests can appreciate stunning views of our extensive gardens to Lake Ullswater and the Fells beyond.

The Regency Restaurant is a stunning room with full length windows, boasting panoramic views across our Gardens and Ullswater, the perfect setting for the wedding of your dreams and the picture perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs.

The Restaurant has a private bar situated just off the main entrance, and the sweeping stair case leading from our Bridal suite ensures pictures of your grand entrance are truly magical.

For a more intimate day we offer our stunning Blue Room for up to 30 guests, which boasts our exclusive view across Ullswater and beyond.

The Blue Room offers the lounge area next door for your arrival drinks and so you can keep your guests in suspense before the grand unveiling of the room for your special day.

Macdonald Leeming House Hotel has the pleasure of offering Civil ceremonies within our beautiful venue.

Our Licenced Civil Ceremony locations are:

• The Regency Restaurant - Capacity 90 guests

• The Blue Room - Capacity 30 guest

The Registar will need to be booked directly by the happy couple. Booking is possible up to three years prior to your wedding date. Please note an external charge will be apply for the regisrar.

Our Head Chef and award winning team are passionate about the food they serve and know, when it comes to quality, it is the details that make all the difference. That is why they use only the finest seasonal ingredients and source only the best produce available.

We remember feeling uninspired with the venues we had been to visit, but that all changed when we came to Macdonald Leeming House.
