EXPERIENCE TALLAHASSEE FESTIVAL On Saturday, August 29th, there will be a welcome back to Tallahassee event held at Cascades Park, called Experience Tallahassee Festival. This is a community-wide, collaborative effort between FSU, FAMU, TCC, the City of Tallahassee, Leon County and several others. There will be bus and trolley shuttles by Star Metro to the location, a DJ on stage, marching bands, dance teams, cheerleaders and other performances, food trucks, inflatables, messages from city/county officials, and dozens of vendors, local businesses and nonprofit organizations manning tables throughout the park. The Center for Leadership and Social Change (CLSC or the Center) will have a table at this event! CLSC needs student volunteers to represent the Center, man the table, and be a major presence at this event. Volunteers must be involved with the Center and familiar enough with our programs and services to share information with the public. Students are encouraged to wear their “Center t-shirts” for this event. Set up begins at 5:00pm and the event gets under way at 5:30pm. The event will conclude by 10:00pm. Those interested need to contact Heather Stitely at [email protected] to sign up for one of the following shifts: Early/Set-up shift (5:00pm – 8:00pm), Middle-shift (6:00pm – 9:00pm), and Late/Breakdown shift (7:00pm – 10:00pm).
