Greetings from your Chamber President, Gary Meyer, Prior Lake State Bank
A quick recap of February starts with our Ice Golf. WOW! What a wonderful event again this
year. Over 180 golfers and 19 hole sponsors!!! The weather was perfect and we had 2 1/2 hours
of fun with a lot of snow and great sponsors that did a wonderful job of decorating their golf hole
and making it fun for the golfers! Congratulations to ProService Automotive for 2nd year in a
row for Best Decorated Hole! Visit our website and click ICE GOLF (Under EVENTS) or
become a FAN on Facebook to check out the pictures of the event. Please consider being a hole
sponsor for this event next year! A special thank you to Captain Jacks for providing a wonderful
atmosphere and accommodations.
We had a fantastic speaker at our luncheon, Cara Bader-Johnson, from New Horizon Academy, she went into details
about ‘Bridging the Generational Gap’ between co-workers, new employees, and customers!! What a fantastic
meeting!!
Next on the agenda was our event on February 20 – Wedding Central. Another one of those snowy, blizzard days
and it was cancelled, due to the safety concerns with our vendors and attendees and rescheduled for Thursday,
March 13, from 5-8 pm at America’s Best Value Inn. Thank you all for being so flexible in moving the date!!
Our Young Professionals is back meeting on a monthly basis, this time at The Pointe on February 27 with XX peo-
ple attending. Next month it is being planned for March 28 at TJ Hooligans, stop by for networking with everyone,
it is a great time and appreciated by all!
Our March membership meeting is one of the favorites – Progressive Luncheon at Mystic Lake. We will meet on
March 19, check in begins at 11:30 am with the first course starting at noon. This event is a RSVP MUST, sorry no-
walk ins. You will need to bring 40 business cards to exchange with, just having lunch you will meet 21 people!!
We will also be printing the Annual Directory in March.
In closing, I will ask each of you…are you getting the most out of the Prior Lake Chamber? If not, are you putting
the most into it? Become active as a SPONSOR at one of our numerous events and get your business name recog-
nized. If not a sponsor, become a VOLUNTEER and make yourself present at one or more of the events. You will
meet people, talk to them, let them get to know you… and eventually they could become one of your clients!
Have a wonderful month and I look forward to seeing you at many upcoming Chamber sponsored events!
