National Conference

Speaker & Worship Leader

Rev. Chun-Yu (CY) Yan can be best described as a "missionary-pastor". He currently serves full-time as Director for Connections East Asia at OMF Canada, a mission tracing its origin back to China Inland Mission, founded by James Hudson Taylor in the year 1865. In this capacity, CY, an immigrant himself to Toronto in 1990, seeks to come alongside East Asian diasporas across Canada to help build indigenous biblical church movements in their midst, and to see them become missionary-sending forces. Holding a Master of Divinity

degree from Tyndale University College and Seminary and ordained by the ECA in 2010, CY also serves as a part-time pastor at a grassroots church. He and his wife,

Ceci, are proud parents of two university-graduate daughters.

Revs. Randy and Marli Brown, married for 30 years, have served in music ministry for just as long. They both graduated from William Tyndale College and are ordained with the Evan-gelical Church Alliance (ECA). Randy and Marli Ministries, their concert and speaking ministry, takes them throughout the United States and Canada, ministering to churches in all evan-gelical denominations. Randy, an accomplished pianist and songwriter, grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Music Composition. He also serves on the ECA Board of Directors. Marli grew up in

Brighton, Michigan, and has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is the author of “Ridin’ Shotgun”, which recounts their family’s journey of living on the road in an RV for eight years. Marli is also a sought-after women’s speaker. Randy and Marli make their home in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with their children, Kennedie and Kadison, who play and sing with them as well. Kennedie, a student at Moody Bible Institute, is a singer/songwriter, and Kadison, a home school senior, plays the ukulele and classical guitar. Together the Brown family desires to encourage the church to repent and re-

main faithful to the Lord while waiting for His return.

Rev. Marlene Hammond, ordained with the Evangelical Church Alliance (ECA) since 1997, serves on the denomination’s Canadian Committee. Called by the Lord over the past years to serve Him in ways she never expected, Rev. Hammond began as Children’s Pastor at Toronto’s Evangel Temple, working in that capacity for 10 years. While there she graduated from the ECA’s Bible Institute. After graduation she committed a year to help start up a young church where she came to understand what it meant to wait upon

the Lord. Upon fulfilling this commitment, the Lord settled Marlene at Church on the Queensway, where she is teaching seniors’ Bible studies and other Bible related cours-es. Her responsibilities also include overseeing the women’s 12-Step programs and Sunday’s altar care. Besides her ministry work, Marlene is busy as a wife to David, a

mother of 3 daughters with their husbands, and grandmother of five.

Order of Service

Rev. Jean Grey, an ordained member of the Evangelical Church Alliance (ECA) and serving on its Canadian Committee, is pastor of Manna House Ministries in Brampton. The wife of the late Rev. Trevor Grey, Jean serves as conference speaker to school teachers and college groups, illustrating the relevance of the Bible to science. Rev. Grey has completed the building of a junior preparatory school, located in Jamaica and now in session with an enrollment of

fifty children. A six thousand square foot auditorium is scheduled to be opened Sep-tember, 2018. While heavily involved in ministry, Rev Grey, a retired senior bank man-ager and former high school teacher, incorporates both her ministry calling and career background in teaching money management techniques to high schools and other in-

terest groups, sponsored by the Canadian Bankers Association.
