The St. Louis Rams look to make it three in a row

they wrap up a three-game road swing by visiting

defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans

Saints Sunday at the Louisiana Superdome. Kickois scheduled for 3:05 Central.

RB Steven Jackson sits on the verge of a persona

milestone as Week 14 approaches. After gaining 1

yards last week against the Cardinals, Jackson

needs just 15 yards to reach 1,000 on the season

On Sunday, hell likely run his current streak to six

consecutive seasons with 1,000 yards or more, wh

is the longest streak in franchise history.

The Rams enter Sundays game on a two-game win streak after picking up

19-6 win over the Cardinals last week in Arizona. Week 14 marks the third

consecutive week in which St. Louis has been on the road. The Rams aim fo

clean sweep on their first three-game road stretch since 2002, something th

isnt accomplished often. Since 2000, 34 teams have played three consecut

road games and only four have managed to win all three.

    HEY ROOKIE!

QB Sam Bradfords numbers through 12 starts compare favorably with other quarterbacks chosen in

the first round in recent years.

Last week, QB Sam Bradford was namedthe NFLs Offensive Rookie of the Month

for the month of November. Bradford also

took home the honor in October, making

him the first quarterback to win two rookie

of the month awards and first No. 1 overall

pick to double up on the award.

Bradfords November award came after he

    completed 79 of 121 passes (65.3 percent)

for 792 yards with six touchdowns and one

interception for a 96.8 passer rating. He

capped his strong month with a 300-yard,

3-touchdown performance in a win at

Denver. St. Louis victory over the Broncos was Bradfords first 300-yard game and first 3-touchdown game, and he threw just one inter-

ception on 121 attempts in November.

The former Heisman Trophy winner is one of just seven players to

win multiple Offensive Rookie of the Month awards and hes the first

    Ram to ever do so.

Bradfords rookie season has also drawn notice from his peers. In a

recent survey conducted by The Sporting News, 100 players were

asked to identify the most impressive 2010 rookie. Bradford received

the most votes of any player as he was mentioned on 49 of the 100

    ballots cast.

    HONOR ROLL

    QB Sam Bradford

Earlier this season, QB Sam Bradford set

an NFL rookie record by throwing 169

    consecutive passes without an intercep-

    tion. Tampa Bays Bruce Gradkowski

held the previous mark with 146 attempts

    without an interception in 2006.

Bradfords streak is the third longest in

team history, trailing only Mark Bulger

    (249, 2005-06) and Roman Gabriel (206,

1968-69). Hes thrown just two intercep-

tions in the last seven games.

The former Heisman Trophy winner has

thrown just 10 interceptions this season on 442 attempts. Wit

strong finish, Bradford could challenge former Lions QB Cha

Batchs NFL rookie record for the lowest interception percenta

Bradfords current interception percentage is at 2.3, while Batch

intercepted on just 1.98 percent of his passes during his rookie y

    of 1998.

coordintor like the Saints Gregg Williams.

Sam Bradford has stood tall against the

    blitz this season. According to

    Statspass.com, Bradford has been blitzed

on 150 of his 442 pass attempts this sea-

son. Only Atlantas Matt Ryan has seen

    more blitzes on pass plays.

Bradford has completed 60 percent of his

passes against the blitz and has thrown

seven touchdowns and just one interception when the oppon

    rushes five or more defenders.

RB Steven Jackson has set a high barwhen it comes to protecting the foot-ball, having touched the ball 290times so far this season without a single fumble.

The Rams all-time leading rusher has been responsible for only 13lost fumbles in his illustrious Rams career, in which he has logged1,808 carries and 311 receptions, one every 163 touches.

LB James Laurinaitis led all NFL rookie linebackers in tackles in 2009,

and hes again at the top of the charts among Rams this season. The

second-year pro leads St. Louis with 92 stops this season and is well

on his way to a second-consecutive season with at least 100 tackles.

Laurinaitis rarely comes off the field, and his ability to help in the pass-

ing game has been a huge asset for the Rams. The former Ohio State

Buckeye has five passes defensed, one interception and three sacks

on the year. Among Rams, only starting cornerbacks Ron Bartell (13)

and Bradley Fletcher (9) have more pass breakups. On Denvers final

drive two weeks ago, the Broncos targeted TE Daniel Graham deep

down the field, but Laurinaitis got a hand in and knocked the ball loose

    to help preserve the victory.

    MAN IN THE MIDDLE

In June, Rams S Oshiomogho O.J.Atogwe signed a long-term extension withthe Rams that will keep him in St. Louis for

the foreseeable future. That deal camebecause hes shown a knack for makingbig plays in his career.

Since becoming a full-time starter in 2006,S Oshiomogho Atogwe has 42 combinedforced fumbles and interceptions (22forced fumbles, 20 interceptions), most inthe NFL during that time.

Atogwe has 21 career interceptions and 20since the start of 2006. Atogwes 20 interceptions are fifth most inNFL during that time, trailing only Philadelphia CB Asante Sam(36), Green Bay CB Charles Woodson (30), Baltimore S Ed R(28) and Washingtons DeAngelo Hall (24).

Atogwe has two interceptions and three forced fumbles this seaTwo weeks ago in Denver, he stripped the ball from RB KnowsMoreno in the third quarter, and LB Nail Diggs recovered. The Rwere able to turn the takeaway into seven points on a Kenneth Drun.

In Steve Spagnuolos defense, Atogwe is often given the opportuto blitz, and he has two sacks this season, including one last weeCardinals QB Max Hall.

Linebacker James Laurinaitis is having another productive season as he leads the Rams in tackles

and has made numerous plays in the passing game.

DE James Halls 11th NFL season has been an extremely productiveone for the veteran leader of St. Louis defense. He leads the teamwith 7.5 sacks on the year and has also recorded 41 tackles, includ-ing two for loss. Hall is also tied for fifth in the NFL with four forcedfumbles this season.

The Michigan product has two games this year with 2.0 sacks, Week4 against Seattle and Week 6 versus San Diego.

Hall now has 54.0 career sacks and has already surpassed his 2009total of 4.5 sacks in 14 games. With 7.5 sacks on the year, Hall is tied

for 11th in the NFC in sacks.

    A HALL OF A PLAYER

DE James Hall has 7.5 sacks this season, which is already more than his 2009 total. Hes seen heresacking Donovan McNabb in Week 3.

In the Rams win over the Cardinals last

week, Arizona gained 109 yards on its first

two drives but came away with a combined

six points on those posessions thanks to

strong stands by St. Louis defense.

Throughout the season, the Rams have

been one of the stingiest in the NFL when

it comes to protecting their end zone.

St. Louis has given up just 22 total touch-downs this year, seventh fewest in the

NFL. Opponents have scored just five

rushing touchdowns against the Rams, which is tied for the t

    fewest in the NFL.

The Rams defense has stood its ground when it counts this sea

as evidenced by the teams defensive statistics in the red zone.

On the season, St. Louis is tied for 10th in the NFL in red z

defense. Opponents have scored touchdowns on 47.1 percen

their drives inside the St. Louis 20-yard line. In all, the Rams h

given up just 150 points on 35 possessions by their opponents in

their 20, which is tied for the seventh fewest points allowed in the

    zone this season.

In their Week 13 win at Arizona, the Rams held the Cardinals to nine points on three field goals, but St. Louis red zone defense w

nt called upon because the Cardinals never reached the Rams

    yard line.

RED LIGHT IN THE RED ZONE

S Oshiomogho Atogwe and LB Larry Grant lead a charge to stop Darren McFadden at the goal

line. The Rams are among the leagues best in red zone defense this season.

    The Rams defense has shown

    marked improvement in several areas

this season as the team has itself in

the midst of the NFC West race at the

    start of December.

St. Louis is tied for 9th in the NFL in

    scoring defense after finishing 31st

last season. The Rams are giving up

one fewer touchdown a game to

opponents this season as theyreallowing 19.8 points per game this

season compared to 27.3 in 2009.

The Rams have also seen an

improvement in their run defense as

theyre allowing 103.5 yards per game (14th in the NFL) compared to

    137.6 (27th) a year ago.

In addition, the Rams have 35 sacks on the season as a team, which

has already surpassed their 2009 total of 25. On third downs, the St.

Louis ranks second in the NFL, allowing 31.8 percent. In 2009, they

    were 29th (43.5).

    STEPPING FORWARD

    LB James Laurinaitis

In last Sundays win at Arizona, the

Rams were credited with two sacks

allowed. They also gave up two

sacks in Week 12 at Denver and

    allowed zero sacks against the

Falcons in Week 11, giving them

just four sacks allowed in the

    teams last 108 attempts.

The Rams have allowed 24 sacks

on the season, tied for 14th fewest

in the league this year. They rank

11th in the NFL in fewest sacksallowed per pass play at 5.43 per-

cent. In 2009, St. Louis gave up a

sack on 8.1 percent of its passes. St. Louis has benefitted from

continuity up front as the five regular starters have combined for

just one missed start this season.

WR Brandon Gibson has found a mid-

season grooved that has paid off for

    the Rams offense.

    The second-year receiver battled a

hamstring injury near the end of train-

ing camp that caused him to be inac-

tive the first two weeks of the season.

In all, he caught 12 passes in the

    teams first seven games. Hes

responded with 28 receptions in the

last five games, the most among all

Rams receivers during that time period.

In last weeks win at Arizona, the second-year pro led the Rams

with six catches for 54 yards, and hes led the team in catches in

two of the last four weeks. Gibson also has two touchdown catch

    on the year.

    GIBSONS GRABS

    WR Brandon Gibson

In 2009, CB Bradley Fletchers rookie sea-

son was off to a bang before a torn ACL

ended it seven games in. After an exhaus-

tive offseason of rehab, Fletcher is back

and earned the starting right cornerback

    job this season.

After intercepting Max Hall last week,

Fletcher leads the Rams with three picks

this season. He ranks third on the club in

tackles (68) and second in passes

    defensed (9).

Fletcher has been around the ball regularly this season. Against

Seattle in Week 4, he snared a Matt Hasselbeck pass and returned

it to the 4-yard line. In Week 3 he recorded his first interception when

he picked off Donovan McNabb in the fourth quarter to clinch a Rams

victory. In Week 1, he made his first career fumble recovery.

Through three quarters of the sea-

    paign has been his best.

    Long has a career-high 6.5 sacks on

the season and has recorded at least

1.0 sacks in five of his last seven

    games. Additionally, he leads the

Rams with 15 quarterback hits and

    14 pressures.

Two weeks ago in Denver, his relent-

less effort on the games final drive

helped the Rams hold on to a victory.

With St. Louis clinging to a three point

lead in the final minute of Sundays game, Long sacked Kyle Orton

on second down and pressured him into an errant throw on fourth

    down.

In Week 6 against San Diego, Long turned in his first two-sack per-

formance of the season and his second of his career. For his efforts,

Long was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

    LONG ON TALENT

    DE Chris Long

    DANDY DANNY

WR/PR Danny Amendola has given the Rams a boost on offense and in the kicking game.

One of the biggest moves the Rams made this offseason was the

acquisition of veteran DT Fred Robbins, and the addition of the 11th

year pro has paid early dividents.

Robbins recorded 2.0 sacks last week in the Rams win at Arizona,

his fifth game of his career with 2.0 sacks. He also had a sack in

Week 12 at Denver and now has 5.0 sacks on the season.

In Week 6, Robbins had a sack and three quarterback hits in the

Rams Week 6 win over San Diego, and following the win, teammate

Chris Long said the inside push Robbins provided helped Long enjoy

a two-sack day that led to Long being named NFC Defensive Player

    of the Week.

On the season, Robbins has 19 total tackles, including three for loss,

eight quarterback hits andfive passes defensed. He needs just one

sack in St. Louis final four games to surpass his career high of 5.5 in

a season. Hes a big reason why the Rams have seen a big improve-

ment against the run and on third down.

Robbins came to the Rams after six seasons with the New York

Giants. During two of those seasons, Steve Spagnuolo was the

Giants defensive coordinator. Its no coincidence that those two

campaigns were perhaps the best of Robbins career as he tied his

career high with 5.5 sacks in each of those seasons and was a Pro

Bowl alternate in 2008. He played a key role in New Yorks run to their

    Super Bowl XLII championship.

    WELCOME ABOARD

Rams DT Fred Robbins drops Seattle RB Justin Forsett for a loss. After joining St. Louis as a free

agent this spring, Robbins has made a big impact on a much-improved Rams defense this season.

Rookie wide receiver Danario Alexanderhas given the Rams offense a spark. Infour games this season, Alexander has 11catches for 193 yards and a touchdown, including two for 20 yards last week.

Two weeks ago in Denver, his first gameback after missing three games with aknee injury, Alexander caught four passesfor 95 yards.

In his NFL debut in Week 6 against theChargers, the 6-5, 215-pound rookie ledall Rams with four receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown.

Alexander caught a 45 yard pass from Sam Bradford againstBroncos, and he provided the play of the day versus San Diego whe hauled in a 38-yard touchdown pass from Sam Bradford, longest scoring pass of the season for St. Louis.

Alexander, who caught 113 passes for 1,781 yards and 14 todowns during his senior year at the University of Missouri, wundrafted last April after undergoing a fourth operation on hisknee. A local favorite due to his stellar career at Mizzou, he sigwith St. Louis in August and spent the first five weeks of the seaon the teams practice squad before being elevated to the active
