newsletter, we are preparing for
the 2017 school year. We are

At the end of 2016, along with
Mrs Kate Hinton and myself, our
school community will also
farewell Mrs Nicole Amey. Nicole
has been our Support Teacher
and Primary Learning Leader
throughout 2016. Nicole came to
these roles with a variety of
international leadership
experiences. Working in the
Support and Learning roles,
Nicole has always prioritised the
engagement and progress of each
child’s educational outcomes. We
congratulate Nicole on her
appointment to Shalom College
from the beginning of 2017.

Before School Reading Club Friday morning reading club will continue until week 8. It is a great success. Parents are welcome to join in and read with their child. A juice and breakfast biscuit is provided. Come on in and get involved.
After School Cooking Club Year 1/2 enjoyed cooking and tasting raspberry muffins last week. Creative sandwiches are on the menu for this week.
After School Netball Club Billy Freeman is coaching the Years 4 and 5/6 in netball to further improve their skills.
End of Year Banking Competition During Term 4 we are running the End of Year Banking Competition. Bank 5 times out of 9 weeks this term to go in the running for a Commonwealth Bank Prize Pack, there can only be one winner. So don’t forget to bank.
Year 4 Visit to Underwater World Year 4 enjoyed their visit to Underwater World on Friday. They gathered information on life cycles and how sea animals depend on others and the environment for survival.
P&F Purchased eReaders Project A class set of eReaders has been purchased for the year 3 students. Students are navigating their way through the eReaders. They are reading The Wind and the Willows as a class. Thank you to the P & F for continuing to resource our St Joey’s learners.
School Accounts Term 4 school fees are now overdue, please finalise accounts before end of term. Accounts were emailed from PCHIFinance. Please contact the school office if you have not received your account. Fete Memorabilia The P&F have a number of items for sale to mark the 90th year of St Joseph’s School.
