2D Shape

Look at the 2D shape mat – which do you know already? Can you learn the names of any you do not know?

Practice drawing the shape on the next page. Can you draw the shape in you books?

Writing

Writing a postcard to a friend or someone in your family telling them about your time on the moon.

Can you use any words with the ‘ai’ sound or ‘ai’ family sounds in?

Can you make it sound really exciting to convince someone to visit the moon?

Everyday Maths

Can you find objects in your house with different 2d shapes. Can you describe the shape to someone else in your house? Can they guess what you have described?

Topic

Can you find some information out about life in space? Facts about astronauts, the first animals in space, space rockets. Could you find out about any famous British astronauts?

 Could you create a model of a planet / a mobile / collage or painting of space. You could even create a solar system

Growing Challenge

You have a pot, soil and seed.

1) Put the compost in the pot

2) Make a little hole in the compost and put in your seed.

3) Cover up the seed with some compost.

4) Wash your hands.

5) Give your seed some water from the tap – just a little bit!

6) Put your pot somewhere it can get some sunlight.

7) Look after you seed. We will find out how they are doing each week.

If you are growing any vegetables or sunflowers in your garden we would love to know about it.
