industrial yard services which includes a variety of heavy equipment operations, maintenance and general labour. Dallan

LP currently has four separate contracts/ operations in Northwestern Ontario. Dallan LP is committed to the needs of its

Dallan LP is seeking talented, enthusiastic and team oriented individuals to join our organization in the following

positions:

HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC

This position is responsible for providing mechanical services for the operation by maintaining and/or repairing all pieces of

equipment including but not limited to front end loaders, fork lifts, excavators, log loaders and pickup trucks. Duties will

include the scheduling regular maintenance on each piece of equipment, troubleshooting problems and coordinating repairs or

replacement of non-working parts. The ideal candidate will be a licensed heavy duty mechanic or equivalent, will have previous

experience working with heavy equipment, will be capable of meeting the physical demands of the position and must have a

valid driver’s license.

PARTS RUNNER/ DELIVERY PERSON

This position will be responsible for picking up parts for multiple sites, delivering packages to various locations, providing

proper documentation and driving long distances when required. The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license,

grade 12 education and will be expected to drive throughout the region while working a flexible work schedule. This position

requires an individual with a combination of excellent interpersonal skills and advanced organizational skills.

SUMMER STUDENT – GENERAL LABOURER

This position will be responsible for lawn and general yard maintenance, operating small yard machines and various general

labour tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor. The successful candidate must be a student who attended a post-

secondary education institution in the 2014/15 school year and enrolled at a post-secondary institution for the 2015/16 school

year. This individual must also have a valid driver’s license and be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include

evenings and weekends and be capable of meeting the physical demands of the position.

EQUIPMENT OPERATORS - ATIKOKAN

Equipment Operators will operate a variety of equipment such as fork lifts, bucket loaders and log loaders. Duties are, but not

limited to; log unloading and loading, lumber transfer, kiln loading, finished lumber loading, snow removal and general labour.

The successful candidates must have a valid driver’s license, previous experience operating heavy equipment, able to work shift

work (days, nights, and weekends) and capable of meeting the physical demands of the position.

Prepare written notes and reports as required.

Perform and check mathematical computations (calculating angles and distances to re-establish or set new boundary corners, level note reductions, traverse closures) utilizing calculators and/or computer programs to complete the various steps within the surveys and assess the accuracy of field measurements and existing surveys.

Perform physically demanding outdoor work under various weather conditions such as carrying heavy survey equipment and supplies while walking long distances on difficult terrain, clearing survey lines, searching and digging for survey evidence and planting survey monuments.

Performing minor maintenance of field equipment.

Must be able to work out of town on projects for an extended period of time.

Must follow all health and safety protocols and procedures outlined by the Company and

various clients.
