CHILD DEVELOPMENT CLOSURE

ALL Child Development Centers will be closed for annual training on 28 May 2010, the Friday prior to Memorial Day. This day was chosen to minimize any inconvenience to military Families, as it is also a scheduled training holiday. In the past, mission essential personnel providing a memoran-dum from their commander were able to receive childcare. Unfortunately, CYSS will be unable to provide childcare in support of mission essential requirements during the 28 May staff training day. Please contact your Child Development Center for further information.

Effective on 1 May 2010, you must have a valid DoD Vehicle Registration Decal (DD Form 2220) on your car or motorcycle in order to get on all US Army facilities. You will be turned back to the visitor gate for a visitor’s pass if you fail to accomplish this task. Decals are available from the Vehicle Registration Offices on Fort Shafter and Schofield Barracks. For additional information, please call 655-0894 (SB) or 438-1517 (FS).
