Good Work Certificates

Teddy has had a quiet week this week with a few days at

home with Mr Episcopo.

He was excited to be back in on Friday and he walked the Daily Mile with some of the

children in the playground. It was a lovely day and the

children were really pleased to have him for company.

He was tired-out!

Teddy was very well-behaved and will be

doing more Daily Mile walks with other year groups soon.

7th Feb Parent Workshops

It was lovely to see so many parents here today for our Reading For Enjoyment Workshops. The children loved showing-off their reading skills and introducing

parents to their classrooms.

Kristian Thomas Visit

Kristian Thomas visited school this afternoon and led a sponsored fitness and circuits session, followed by a gymnastics display from

Kristian and a motivational Question & Answer Session.

The children were brilliant, and showed amazing energy levels. Kristian led each class in their workouts to high-energy music whilst

the other children were clapping and cheerleading. Kristian gave out special wrist bands to children that perfected the

exercises they were doing.

The children were really ‘going for it’ doing star-jumps, mini-press-ups and other exercises. They had a

fabulous time!

Bring A Book to Life

Dance Workshops

We had James from ‘West End in Schools’ in school on Tuesday.

Reception’s book was ‘Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish’.

Year 1’s book was ‘Handa’s Surprise’

Year 2’s book was ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’

Each class had a 35 minute session of drama, movement and dance.

Yr 2 Exotic Animal Visit

Year 2 only.

Please make sure you have returned your consent form and

£3.20 contribution for this exciting visit on Monday 10th

February.

Please note our new Parents’ Evening dates for the Spring term. They are:-

Monday 10th February 4.30-6.30

and

Thursday 13th February 3.30-5.30.

Pre-School Parents’ Evenings will be during the week beginning 24th February, staff will

arrange appointments over the next few weeks.

We are doing our bit for the environment, and trying to reduce the amount of letters and

flyers that we send home with the children. After the Easter Holiday in April 2020 we shall be posting all our flyers and reminders on our

Schudio App only.

Please make sure you have the App on your phone or tablet to keep upto date.

Absence—Reminder

Children have no entitlement to holidays during term time. Any Leave of Absence must be requested in advance, this is reviewed on an individual basis by the Head Teacher.

The leave will unauthorised unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please check our website for our updated Attendance Policy (Under ’Parent Info, ‘Our Policies’). In line with Warwickshire Attendance Service policy, unauthorised absences have been successfully referred and families have been fined.

Does your child turn 3 between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020?

If so, they will be eligible to start in our School Nursery in September 2020.

We are holding an Open Morning on Thursday 19th March at 10am for

parents and children to come and visit to meet the staff and answer any questions.
