Potential Partial School Re-opening! Please read!

Thank you so much to those of you that have responded so quickly to our survey! It has been a very mixed response!

At this moment in time, like you, we are waiting to hear the PM's announcement on Thursday 28th May to see if the country is ready for schools to partially open on June 1st.

Please note, despite what is being reported in the media, not ALL Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children will be invited

to return to school on June 1st, even if we do begin to partially reopen.

The Government directive is for ALL schools to only open initially to their youngest pupils, therefore as an Infant school with a Preschool and a Nursery, we will only ONLY be opening on a partial

basis for NURSERY and RECEPTION children initially (following a thorough risk assessment, unfortunately we are unable to offer places to Pre-school children at this time).

Potential Partial School Re-opening! Updated Information

Goodbye & Best Wishes

Mrs Richardson leaves us this week to go on Maternity Leave. Although we haven’t been at school she has still been working

hard at home.

We wish her well for the safe arrival of the baby

and look forward to seeing lots of pictures!

We have managed to resolve almost every issue so far. If you are still experiencing any problems please follow the video guide available on our website if you are still having problems please contact

[email protected] via email; we will aim to resolve these as soon as possible.

Due to the current situation and the possible only partial opening of the school in June, we strongly

encourage and recommend to all parents to access the Google Classroom, which not only provides the most up to date home learning activities, but also allows teachers to instantly respond to

children’s learning.

Teachers are hoping to start some LIVE REMOTE SESSIONS where children can talk directly to their teacher and reconnect with classmates!

We are also considering using GC to support your child’s TRANSITION into their next class, ready for September. Again live chats with their new teacher and classmates , which may also include Year 20

moving to St.Giles, and other schools if possible.

Your child will NEED access to Google Classroom going forward into the ‘new norm’, so please persevere until you’re connected!

Unfortunately, we are not be able to send home learning individually and all completed

activities should be submitted via the Google Classrooms directly for the class teacher to access and provide feedback.
