We love to have parents, grandparents, and good friends join us for school lunch. We ask that you reserve your lunch by either calling the

school office (843-9511) or the cafeteria (842-0066) by 10:00am.

Please remember the Feast Day of Saint Francis is coming up on October 4th. Saint Francis’ devotion to God was expressed

through his love for all of God’s creations. He is the patron saint of animals and ecology.

He preached the message to care for the earth and all of creation even to his brothers and

sisters—the animals. Don’t forget to bring your beloved stuffed animal to school on Thurs-

day, October 4th, to have them blessed during our school mass. Also, after school you can

bring your family pets to have them blessed by Father Barnabas.

In honor of the Feast of Saint Francis, Saint John School is participating in our annual Hu-

mane Society Drive. Please consider bringing in donations for our local Humane So-

ciety shelter. Items of greatest need include: bleach, block style cheddar cheese (for dog

training), dog treats, electric heating pads, hot dogs, milk replacer, kongs, laundry, deter-

gent, towels, animal nursing bottles, used paper towel and toilet paper rolls, cat toys, cat-

nip, canned pumpkin, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, peanut butter, printer paper, T-

shirts, scrubbing brushes, and sponges. Just like Saint Francis, the students of Saint John

School care for all of God’s creations and strive to be stewards of the earth.

Sincerely, STUCO

The weather is changing and we have uniform long-sleeve t-shirts (red) for $18 and the elementary blue sweatshirts for $22.

Sixth grade had a great time on September 20 and 21 at the Archdiocese Prairie Star Ranch.

Thank you to parents Tim Silvers and Andrea Thorne for helping teachers supervise the trip.
