Message from the Principal Trivia Night
Last Saturday Night our P&C hosted a Trivia Night at
the Everglades Club. The evening was a tremendous
success with in excess of 160 people attending. The
night served as a great opportunity for our staff and
community to have fun and socialise, while raising
funds for the good of our kids’ education. A massive
thanks must go to our new P&C President, Keiran
Dearing and former President Belinda Steele and their
team of helpers for the enormous amount of time and
effort they put into the organisation of the night. A
special mention must also go to Mr Young for his
prowess as Trivia Master!
Community Chips Program
Our relationship with the Everglades Club continues to
grow stronger and stronger and their recent
presentation of a cheque for $1000 to our School
Captains through their ‘Community Chips’ Program was
further evidence of the tremendous support they are
providing for our school.
Zone Swimming Carnival Superstar
Congratulations to Will S. from year 4 who broke a
Southern Central Coast PSSA Zone Record in the 10
Year Boys Freestyle with an extremely slick time of
36.06! On Monday this week he represented our school
and zone at the Sydney North Swimming
Championships at Sydney Olympic Park where he
performed with distinction. Well done Will!
Disco Tickets
Our first P&C run school disco will be held on Thursday
April 6. Tickets for the Disco will be on sale before
school on Tuesday 4, Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6
April. Tickets will not be available at the door. Please
be aware that no student will be able to purchase a
ticket for the school disco without a written
permission note.
Harmony Day
Yesterday students from our school celebrated
Harmony Day by wearing orange and engaging in a
range of related activities. The students attended a
special assembly, expertly run by our school leaders,
and were treated to a fantastic performance from our
highly accomplished Pacific Island Group, which was a
real highlight for our K-2 students. Following the
performance our students shared lunch with their
buddy classes. Special thanks to Miss I’Anson and Mr
McKinnon for the organisation of the event.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Teachers have begun preparations for their upcoming
Parent Teacher Interview. Many of you would have
received notice of the specific dates for your child’s
class. If you haven’t received any correspondence
regarding the interviews, please make contact with
your child’s classroom teacher so that an attempt can
be made to provide you with a meeting time.
AVID Quote for the week……
“Whether you think you can or think you
can’t – you’re right”.
Have a great week everyone,
Matt Barr

Trivia Night WOW! What a night! We had over 160 teachers, parents and community members turn out for our first event for the year and it didn't disappoint! Congratulations to the winning table, The Inchworms. It was a tight race to the finish and everyone had such a great time we might just have to do this again sometime in the future! The support and donations we received from our local businesses meant we were able to give out over 45 gift vouchers on the night and then
we also had the support from you, our school community, who donated hundreds of items for our Silent Auction Baskets. We created 10 baskets for auction and an additional 10 baskets for Lucky Door Prizes. They were amazing! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out throughout the organisation and implementation of the night. Without your help the night would not have run so smoothly. Watch this space for an update on how much we raised for the school gardens! As part of the night we also raised some funds for Harry Beaton, one of our students who has been chosen to represent AUSTRALIA in Futsal in Japan at the end of this year. The Coin Toss was very popular and raised $310 to support Harry. That is an outstanding achievement and we would like to pass on a huge 'Thank You' from his family to all who participated

Grill’d Fundraising We’ve been selected to participate in Local Matters at Grill’d Erina this March!
Local Matters is the Grill’d community donation program that sees each Grill’d restaurant donate $500 back into the community every month. The donation is split between 3 local community groups $300 / $100 / $100.
HOW YOU CAN HELP? We’d love your support in receiving the highest $300 donation! Simply head to Grill’d Erina during March for a burger and pop your Local Matters token in our jar. The group with the most tokens at the end of the month receives the largest donation. It’s a simple (and delicious) way to show your support! You’ll find us on a jar at Grill’d Erina,
