Junior Police Cadets

15 of our Year 8 pupils began a 7 week programme as

junior Police Cadets. The pupils started the course by

receiving their uniforms and pocket books and then

had a fun filled evening learning and then practicing

their resuscitation techniques for adults, children and

infants. The school library was filled with the sounds

of ‘Staying Alive’ and ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ as

pupils learned the correct rhythm for chest compres-

sions. In future weeks we will have the opportunity to

do forensic work as well as further first aid at a mocked

up Road Traffic Accident.

Reminder

With hot weather on the horizon again, please can

you ensure that your child has a water bottle that

they can fill at break and lunchtimes so that they

have access to water whilst they are working.

It may also be worth applying suncream before your

child comes to school and sending your child in with

a hat for outdoor activities.

If your child suffers from hayfe-

ver, please can they take their

medication before school.

Summer Fayre

The Summer fayre takes place next Friday. The children have been working hard to help plan and organise the event. There will be a range of stalls and activities run by the pupils and re-freshments will be available in the hall.

If you would like your child to accompany you at the fayre from 2.30 p.m., please could you call into the office and sign your child out.

There will be a non uniform day on Tuesday 20th June. We would ask that each pupil makes a donation of an item towards the fayre to take part.
