Incentives What motivates you?

• We know that it is not always easy to carry the banner for the Society at the grass roots level yet we certainly

appreciate that you do. In fact, that is the reason for this letter. We would like to introduce to you our newly formed

IDSA Leadership Appreciation Plan to formally recognize the hard work that you perform as a volunteer leader of the

Society. This plan formally recognizes Chapter and Section leaders on an ongoing quarterly and annual basis for a job

well done. Here is how it works:

Quarterly Recognition:

• Membership Growth – Members sit at the core of our Society. Starting in 2011, the top performing Chapter and top

performing Section with the best membership growth within a quarter will be recognized. Every three months a

Chapter and a Section will be awarded a 25% discount coupon on IDSA membership. A total of 8 membership discounts

will be awarded during the course of the year.

• Activity Growth – Local and regional activities are crucial to providing tangible benefits to our members and our

profession. Starting in 2011, the top performing Chapter and top performing Section with the greatest number of

Chapter / Section Connexx activities within a quarter will be recognized. Every three months a Chapter and a Section

will be awarded a 25% registration discount coupon that can be applied to the IDSA National Conference (or up to free

registration to an IDSA District Conference). A total of 8 conference discounts will be awarded during the course of the

year.

• Revenue Growth – Generating revenue for our „bottom line‟ is critical to make sure that our Society remains in a

strong, fiscal position. Starting in 2011, the top performing Chapter and top performing Section with the greatest

revenue generation for Chapter / Section activities within a quarter will be recognized. Every three months a Chapter

and a Section will be recognized by having their operating budget increased by $250 for the year. A total of 8 budget

increases will be awarded during the course of the year.

• For a look at the complete Leadership Appreciation Plan please go to the Connexx

Resources page.
