RULES COMMONLY VIOLATED BY STUDENTS

• No cleavage• Shirts must have sleeves!• Do not show your stomach or
back• Your shirt is too short if skin shows
while sitting in a desk or raising your arms
Dress Modestly
• If you are a “repeat offender” and continually break dress code, you will be assigned ISS or OSS.
• Students breaking dress code will not be allowed to attend class and will have to change clothes.

ID Reminders• You may not cross out your name or
deface your ID badge in any way
• You can NOT wear someone else’s ID
• The bar code must be “free of defects” so you can buy lunch and check out books.
• You will have to replace your ID if you deface it in anyway or if it is “chewed” or torn up.
• We allow students to charge a $5 ID badge or to purchase a $1 temporary badge. Students must wear their ID to be on campus. Students may not have a balance that exceeds $10.
Limited Use ItemsCertain items have limited use in the
building:• Cell phones• Other electronic devices—including IPODS
You may use them in classrooms with the teacher’s permission and only for
instruction.
If you don’t follow rules on cell phone use, it will be taken!
Refusal to give them to a teacher, staff member or administrator will lead to OSS.
CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATING CELL PHONE POLICY
Your cell phone should NOT be visible or used unless it’s used in the classroom for instruction.
No phones should be visible or in use any other time during regular school hours.
1st Offense - Return to student at the end of the day2nd Offense - Hold 1 school day – Return to student3rd Offense - Hold 5 school days – Parent must pick it up4th Offense - Hold 90 school days – Parent must pick it up5th Offense - Hold remainder of school year
Prohibited ItemsThere may be no visible hats, hoods, or head coverings
in the building at any time. In addition, sunglasses may not be worn inside the school.
This is a safety/security issue. We must be able to see your face at all
times. Remember: Even if you are not wearing
your hat, it can still be taken away.
Food/Drink“Open containers” of food and drink are not
permitted in classrooms OR hallways. This includes drinks with straws and bags of fast food. You may NOT leave campus for lunch unless you travel to e-camp or Southwood.
Lunch Room• You will only be permitted to be in the cafeteria or commons
area during lunch. • You must have a pass and go through the 200 hall if you
need to go to the nurse or front office. Passes will be available with staff that is on lunch duty.
• You may not be in the parking lot unless you are going to C-Camp or Southwood.
• When you are finished with your lunch, please make sure you put your trash in the trash can.
• YOUR lunch table should look like this when you leave.
It is no one’s responsibility but your own to clean up your
trash!!
Parking Lot• You must have a parking decal
that is visible in the car. • You must be in 10th, 11th, or 12th
grade to park on campus.• You must park in the student
parking lot only. Do not park in the front circle or bus lot.
Parking Violations
1st offence – Written Warning
2nd offence – Written Warning, Meet with Administrator and call home
3rd offence – Written Warning and After school detention
Attendance….Be here & Be on time!!
• 3 tardies OR 3 early dismissals OR a combination of these =1 unexcused absence (yes, this includes pep rally days)
• 10 tardies = 1 day of ISS
Early sign outs/late arrivals need medical excuses.
Attendance is taken for each class period! You must sign in if you arrive late; no matter what time you get to campus.
Attendance• 5 unexcused/excused absences =
no credit for 90 day classes (if a class meets only on A OR B day)
• 10 unexcused/excused absences = no credit for 180 day class
(if a class meets on A AND B day)
Excused vs. Unexcused
Excused absences parent notes for sickness, death in the family, or a religious holiday
(A parent note stating your car would not start or you accidentally overslept is NOT an excused absence)
Doctor’s notes or school sponsored activities do not fall into this category
Excuses• Be sure to turn
in all excuses (doctor’s note or parent note) as soon as you return to school.
• Why should I even bother turning in an excuse if I lose credit with 5 unexcused OR 5 excused absences?
You are considered truant after 5 unexcused absences and you can be referred to the District Office
End of the Day….Where can I stay?• All students are expected to exit thebuilding at the end of the school day. • If you are staying with a teacher for extra help, attending power hour, or are involved in extra-curricular activities, please stay in that location the entire time. When the activity has ended, all students are expected to exit the building and wait for a ride.
• No one should be roaming the halls or hanging around the commons area once the school day has ended…..this includes seniors with early dismissal
